"This was our second time to stay at the View II and it was wonderful. We especially appreciated the balcony and the great view of the river. The unit is spacious and the full kitchen is a plus. We were disappointed that only 1 tv worked this time, because one reason we rented this unit again is 2 TVs. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was a little noisy and it would also be nice if there was a small dresser in the bedroom for folded clothes. But otherwise, I highly recommend this unit and the area around Edgewater and Wiscasset."

"We were truly delighted by our stay on Westport Island! The property is well-kept and comfortably furnished, including a pack-and-play for our toddler. The kitchen is well-stocked and the hot water heater is excellent. The setting is gorgeous. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck, used the canoe in the river, and enjoyed stargazing and sitting by the fire pit after dark. We found the place made a great "home base" for exploring the mid-coast region.Note: it does get quite warm upstairs. We were okay with fans and keeping the windows open at night (and closed during the heat of the day), but it might be uncomfortable for folks who are used to sleeping in cold rooms.Carol was extremely friendly and responsive. When I asked if they had a life jacket that would fit our toddler, she ordered one especially for us and it was ready when we arrived. The region guide she put together is detailed and helpful. We also appreciated the specific directions (with photos!) for finding the property, since Google Maps is not 100% reliable on smaller roads.Maine is a long way from Oklahoma, so I'm not sure when we'll be back, but I hope we can return one day!"

"Fabulous place, even better than the pictures. Screened in porch and fantastic views make this place...and unlike a lot of rentals, plenty of towels, good linens & pillows and fully stocked kitchen in terms of appliances and dishes. Loved this place, hope to stay there again next summer!"
