This charming Lisbon neighbourhood lies in the heart of the Bairro Alto–Príncipe Real area, known for its mix of narrow, cobbled streets and elegant 18th‑ and 19th‑century buildings. It's a popular spot with locals and tourists alike, offering historic churches, lively cafés, and panoramic viewpoints—especially the leafy elevated garden with its striking monument celebrating Eduardo Coelho, a pivotal figure in Portuguese journalism.
Easy public transport links—including nearby tram, bus, metro, and light‑rail stops—make exploring the rest of Lisbon from this base simple. During the day, the area feels tranquil, perfect for museum visits or sipping coffee in the sunshine. By night, it pulses with activity as the Bairro Alto nightlife awakens, with bars, fado houses, and restaurants just a short stroll away.
The property is easily accessible by public transport and car.
The nearest bus station, R. Palmeira (lines 19B and 773), is just a one-minute walk away.
Humberto Delgado Airport is a 22-minute drive from the property.
