Get what you pay for.
Its basic you get what you pay for. It would have been nice to have a sheet that wasn't stained from other guests. The loft hatch was opened as well which was a bit scary. Our room was also double booked, we where lucky we got to the room first or we would have been screwed.

Don't book SeftonPark Chillpads-totally unreliable
Appalling Service - They had some problem with taking my payment - There was no issue with my card. They sent me a text. As soon as I saw it when I was already half way to Liverpool fro the South Coast, I responded but when I got through the unhelpful bloke who took the call said they had relet the room. As a result I had to pay for a much more expensive room at another hotel as i did not have the luxury of doing further research whilst driving

So just to be clear you haven't stayed with us and you failed to make payment as such your booming was cancelled. How on earth is this my fault????? I suggest more diligence in future and less tantrums at other people

No frills.
The overall condition of the room was poor. There were lightbulbs missing and the fridge had no shelving inside it. The wall was full of holes and the window in the bathroom would not close so very cold and drafty. The room lock was only into the soft wood frame which I did not notice until the last morning. The room was clean and so was the bedding. We had two very peaceful restfull nights at the chill pads and the condition did not spoil our break. The room we had would suite a contractor staying away for a couple of nights to complete a job. I would have to think twice before using them again. The room we had did not have a TV. Quite and peaceful but no frills.

Good location, clean, but needs upgrading!
I was visiting family in my native City. On arrival I couldn’t find the house as no number was given only the name ‘Chillipads’ which was on a board outside the building (in the photograph) however on my arrival the board was missing! After several minutes walking up and down in the poor weather, I phoned the number given and was given accurate guidance to the premises. This was not the start I wanted or needed. My main complaint was the traffic noise level that was constant day and night from each side of the building. There was no double or secondary glazing. The curtains were unlined and therefore allowed constant light to enter the room during the night and and a security light attached to the neighbouring building constantly flashed on and off during the night! The shared shower on the on the first floor needs major upgrading, and I only used it once. Everything else was fine! Would I stay there again? No!

This is budget accommodation, which was clean and spacious and a reasonable location to easily get into the city with bus stop outside. There’s no TV in the room which was disappointing and not highlighted in the listing

Great value option
No frills venue, but didn't expect it, and the room was nice. The guy was helpful too. Bit of a walk from the centre, but we knew that and that's fine. Nice area and very near Lark Lane, which was very nice. Overall, a great value option.

This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed and they had the cheek to charge me 70 pounds it was disgusting the towels we’re revolting we would have left only it was so late and we couldn’t find anything else stay away from this place just simply dreadful!

Property is very basic but clean. Bedding and room were fresh but our part of the property was in need of re decoration. Our room smelled slightly of paint which was encouraging and I’ve been told the late queen thought the world smelled like that as everywhere was spruced up before she arrived. The rest of the deco was poor but hopefully it a work in progress. A lick of paint and a carpet would help. The kitchen is sad and I wouldn’t prepare or there. Tidy up the car park surface and that will protect the carpets. Please empty the bins. All in all a bit run down but value for money.

fully met my expectations
I travelled to Liverpool for a weekend where I just wanted to go out and see the city, so I needed an accommodation which shouldn't be too far away from the centre, still affordable and I appreciate if it's clean and in a quiet neighbourhood. This accommodation fully met my expectations. I appreciated that the room was ready even earlier than the official check-in time. The room was modest, no frills but absolutely comfortable, nothing to complain and next time I'll go to Liverpool I might book this accommodation again.

You don't pay this price and get room service, of course. But the description of self-catering was inaccurate, with ensuite also not as described. SMS details did not arrive until requested. Kitchen was pretty awful, and the dog in the next room, growling 24/7 was unacceptable.

While room was basic and reflects the price point, there was no floor covering on the toilet floor - just 2 small mats on bare wood. The toilet light also constantly flickered. I'm not sure the shared bathroom was advertised that way - but the large amount of mould around the shower meant a shower wasn't going to be an apetizing prospect anyway...so we didn't bother. Also, there's little point in providing a kettle if there are no cups and cutlery in the room. On the plus side bed was reasonably comfortable and the room was warm.

Hi Craig. I'm really sorry your room was dirty upon arrival. That's not how we usually like to greet our guests. It was down to my own personal error as the last guest checked out much later than anticipated and I forgot to add the room back onto the cleaning list. It's not something that happens very often but I do understand how frustrating it can be for our guests. As soon as you informed me about the state of the room I had a cleaner onsite within 15 mins and the room was turned around in another 20 mins That being said, 35 mins is a long time to wait to check in after a long journey. I did refund you around 35% of the cost price as an apology as I was hoping to avoid getting this review but I completely understand your frustration and once again offer my most sincere of apologies. Very disappointing situation
We had booked a double bedroom at Sefton chillpads to be rang 2 hours before our check-in time to say the room was no longer available, to which the gentleman who rang me said he would sort and had a place rated 8.8 in mind which cost an extra £25- that he would cover, I was delighted by this as it was basically a free upgrade. However around 20-30 minutes later I received a text message saying that this place was in fact fully booked and he had booked Great rooms Liverpool. My boyfriend and I turned up to this place, which we couldn’t find, I parked in a side street with free parking close to where the place was meant to be. I hadn’t received a text or any info from the place itself, it was a door in between a nail shop and a kebab shop but how we were supposed to know this when there was no sign saying “Great rooms Liverpool” at all god knows. I searched this place up and the rating was in fact 3.3 and it cost slightly less than the place I’d originally booked. When we got into the room after ringing the guy who owned the place multiple times, we had been given a room with 4 single beds and two broken lamps.. considering I’d booked a room with one double bed I was disappointed. There was also no lock on the bathroom/shower door which made both myself an my boyfriend feel very uncomfortable, overall we were incredibly disappointed and preferably would like a refund as we did not have the experience which we planned nor paid for.

Hello, I'd like to start by apologising for your experience while visiting Liverpool with your bf, and I'm also really sorry but I simply must point out to anyone reading this review that its not actually about the condition of our property but it relates to the property we booked on your behalf and our subsequent customer service failure that forced you to stay in a rubbish place.Unfortunately the Ukrainian refugees that are staying with us had to extend their stay at very short notice, I did call you and explain this to you at the time and you where extremely sympathetic. It turned out that the city was extremely busy that weekend and I would have had to pay over 200 to accommodate you at any other property in the city. We totally accept that the property we booked for you was not up to the same standard as our place and we are really sorry about all the messing around. We tried really hard to find you somewhere the same as us but unfortunately we dropped the ball on this one.SorryMarty
