Felt unsafe
The place was unclean unkept there were drug users everywhere people shouting in corridor s it’s was intimidating the only good thing was the cafe

Despite the fact they knew having a problem with showers and hot water I was not advised about it. Results: First night had a shower in a communal shower while I paid extra to have my en-suite room, because of no hot water Second night had warm water but my own shower wasn’t draining at all Third morning: after having changed room, no hot water nor draining shower Management was incapable of getting right decision!

Great location and good value for money
Good value for money, couldn't fault it apart from the very poor soundproofing. Felt like we could hear everyone that walked past and it was really noisy on Saturday night. Clean and comfortable, friendly staff. It was just the noise that let it down.

A let down
Room was very loud. Double room with private bathroom was located outside of main building where service personnel were banging bins etc late at night and early morning. Also security light outside flickering on and off all night which was shining through the room windows even with blinds down. Considering this was supposed to be one of the more expensive rooms it was a big let down.

Perfect for a short stay. Very basic but exactly what I expected. I will definitely stay here again. Also the location is perfect.

Very impressive. Nice room and comfy bed. Great facilities with plenty to do, great food and ideal location. The open issues were poor WIFI and no window could open in our room.

Room is basic but clean. However there was no hot water in the shower and the elevator announces what floor it arrives at in a loud voice. The walls aren’t soundproofed so it sounded like someone shouting in the corridor every time anyone used the elevator Would not stay here again

Room was clean and had everything we needed. Building was lovely. My only complaint was the sound proofing must be poor. We could hear everything people were saying/ doing outside of our room.

Turned out well
We arrived and checked in at 3pm. However the room with a bathroom we had booked originally we did not get. That had already been given away. It was a mishap between hotels.com and eat sleep love. However the accomodation staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The sharing facilities in the hallway were kept clean, we got compensated with a bit of a lie in and free breakfast. Even though there was a mishap through the booking I would still recommend the hotel we stayed. Clean facilities, friendly staff and a great place to meet with friends, good value for money

Nice simple hostel.
Nice place. Simple but good location and clean. Cafe attached is great with amazing food. Can't give it 5 stars as there was no hot water but otherwise good.

No hot water. Disappointing. A mediocre 4/10
The hotel itself was fine. Nice atmosphere but the finish of the place was a little tired. The disappointing things were the first room we were offered had no blind and was on the ground floor. We were offered another room on the third floor which was fine, nice and clean. However when we came to shower in the morning there was no hot water. When we told the guy on reception there was no apology, he just said we could use the communal showers and that they would get a plumber out. The next morning was the same. No hot water. I found this disappointing as we had paid for a private room with private shower, so felt a bit cheated really. All in all it was ok. I wont be staying there again, and would recomend people to stay elsewhere. I thought it was overpriced for what we got. We have stayed in nicer places in the city for less.

I had a family room that was ok but if I had my kids with me they would not have been happy as the room has no tv this is a no no if you have kids and the internet was very bad in the room the food is not good frozen chips not a lot of it and over priced staff very nice and friendly overall would I stay again no

Only negative thing about this place was first floor bathroom is designed terribly as a bathroom and shower and does terrible to drain water. Love the room , location, the staff and the restaurant attached to it. The staff was helpful and the main areas were clean and designed great to hang out in. The hostel is in the middle of Liverpool and perfect to explore the city and day trip it.

Rooms are basic - just bed and bathroom facilities - but alll you need really. Due to location can be noisy in evening and sound proofing between our room and one above was poor. Games room was excellent and a big hit with our teenagers. Restaurant was v good.

Water logged room by shower !
when we arrived noticed mould on the bathroom door and damp smell, When we showered in the morning water soaked not only the bathroom but the room too onto the carpet, When we checked out reception said was waiting for you to leave as water is coming through the ceiling ! This obviously happens often by the state of the room,

Fantastic value for money
The room was very good value, the hotel staff were amazing, catering staff (main server) could do with being less abrasive. I would definitely stay again but perhaps eat out.

This is a very clean place but is basic no table no chairs no tv in room electric plugs beside bed none near mirror not idea for drying hair unless you sit on the bed Beds are standard for double size

I didn't get the room that I was offered on the website. I needed the two bunks beds that was offered. Saw the pic on the website and clicked that room. Other than that all was good and the breakfast was excellent.

There was no hot water! Which meant starting the day without a wash. Reception said it usually works in the afternoon but apart from reseting the boiler there was nothing they could do. Hot water is a basic need, I'll be asking for a refund.
