Spacious Apartment, but Poor Communication and No Wi-Fi
The apartment was spacious, generally comfortable and in a good location. Once we received the instructions, getting the key and entering the property went smoothly.
Our biggest problem was the advertised Wi-Fi. A sign inside provided the network name and password and told guests how to connect. When it didn't work, we called and were told it would be reset. An hour later it still wasn't working. We called again and were then told the Wi-Fi had not been available since February.
If Wi-Fi has been unavailable for months, it should not be advertised and a sign should not still be telling guests how to connect. A price adjustment would also have been appropriate.
Communication was equally concerning. I contacted the host several times before arrival without receiving a personal response. Our check-in instructions arrived only about an hour before check-in.
We are older travellers and fortunately had family nearby to help us. Without them, the lack of Wi-Fi and difficulty reaching anyone could have left us with very limited ability to communicate or get assistance if something serious occurred. The contact numbers provided did not result in meaningful communication with the host.
The apartment was reasonably clean, although we found dirty pans in the oven.
The property itself has potential, but the Wi-Fi listing and lack of reliable communication need to be addressed.
