"What a fabulous find, with the greatest staff service from beginning to end. Room 24 was immaculately clean with a great view of the sea. The bed was amazingly comfortable and we had the best sleep we've had in a long time. The restaurant had a great menu, and the food was fabulous too. I can honestly say it was probably the best hotel stay we have had in the UK. Well done to all the staff, and keep up the amazing customer service that you provided."

"We’re walking the Herefordshire Trail and stayed here for one night. I was a good choice. A lovely welcome. We had a room which was clean and comfortable with plenty of room to walk around. Food in the evening was good, with a good menu choice. Breakfast was excellent a good menu to choose from. All the staff were great. We would stay again if in Kington"

Friendly staff on reception, lovely decor, our room on the first floor was nicely decorated, and the breakfast was delicious. There is loads of parking. We'd definitely stay here again. "We were delighted to find we were staying in a stately home worthy of Downton Abbey. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Wonderful spaces for the guest with fireplaces and comfortable chairs in beautifully coordinated fabrics, as you'd expect from the previous home of Laura Ashleys family, (although subtley not massively floral). The restaurent was lovely and the food superb. Staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds and views over the Brecon Beacons was lovely, with lots of pubs nearby, and other restaurents in nearby Brecon. Our room had a confortable 4 poster bed and lovely ensuite with a seperate shower and Bath, and a great view. It was one floor up and the stairs were wide and not steep so I managed with my stick. We were able to park right out the front door in the big turning circle. Overall it could not have been better!"

Rooms very dated but clean, beds/ pillows not very comfortable but bathroom had been refurbished which was nice. Pool was warm, changing rooms very basic and needed money for hair dryer. Need to bring own towels for pool."

"I'm glad that I stayed at The Castle Hotel finally. It was very pleasant! My room was spacious and had nice views out of the windows, the bed was comfortable, the staff were pleasant. It wasn't right in the middle of Aber, so it was quiet (minus the noise from the car racing - but I had a great view for it). Easy walk right down to the sea. The only drawback was not having a lift, but that is pretty common and my fault for having a heavy suitcase! I would definitely stay again."
