"This place really exceeded our expectations. We thought it looked nice online but it’s even nicer in real life. We had a family room and we were very happy with it. Everything was clean and well kept. We were very impressed with the quality of everything in the hotel, including the lovely smelling shampoo and shower gel provided, the super soft bedding and the nice, powerful shower. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Nothing we asked felt like too much trouble. The breakfasts were delicious and they had options for vegetarians and vegans, which was great for us. There are also EV charger in the hotel car park, which really helped with our trip. The hotel itself is in a great location for exploring Betws-y-coed and North Wales. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in that area!"

"The hotel is next to a beautiful river set in lovely gardens. The rooms were clean and large with very nice furniture and plenty of clothing space. Breakfast was excellent and the location was within easy walking distance to the town. The staff were very friendly. Couldnt fault a thing"

"We had a comfortable stay, and the location was very convenient for exploring the city. Although the room wasn't particularly large, it had been recently renovated, featured a double bed, and was clean, comfortable, and well suited to our short stay. This is a straightforward, no-frills property with the essential amenities, and it met our expectations. A good continental buffet as well as freshly cooked hot breakfast options available to order, providing a great start to the day. For international travellers, it's worth noting that air conditioning is not a standard feature in many UK hotels, so it's worth checking before booking if this is important to you. A fan is provided for warmer weather. Similarly, bar fridges are not commonly included in UK hotel rooms, so it's best not to expect one. As the property is an older building, some noise transfer is to be expected. Sound carries along the corridors, and the timber floors do creak in places. Overall, we felt the property offered good value for money in a convenient location. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, character-filled place to stay and appreciate the charm of an older building, this is a solid option."

"This was a nice place to see this corner of Wales from. There are 3 bedroom all upstairs. There are 2 bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The stairs are narrow and steep so if that is an issue for you please note. To open the front do you need to lift the handle up at the same time you are using this key. We had not been told this so we had a hard time getting the front door unlocked. In addition there was only one kitchen towel. Nothing to hand wash dishes with or to wipe down the counters. No paper towels, no pot holders. The descriptions says there are not bath towels but there were towels for us to use. There is a French press for coffee. Other people had noted in the guest book there they loved the welcome gift. There was no welcome gift, just a bit of older coffee on the counter. It would have been nice to have a few amenities as I have mentioned."
