Beautiful, detatched 300 year old, fully renovated cottage with country views

"Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans ce beau et confortable cottage. Les propriétaires sont à la fois chaleureux et discrets. Nous avons apprécié les petites attentions qui deviennent de plus en plus rares dans les locations. Le gîte est idéalement situé pour visiter la région St Andrews, Glamis, Edimbourg, etc.)."
Cottage sleeps 4 with private hot tub. Edinburgh festival less than 1hr away.

"Soggiorno meraviglioso nel bellissimo cottage. Io e la mia famiglia speriamo di ritornarci presto. L'host è gentilissimo!Tutto curato nei minimi dettagli, pulitissimo e ordinato. Abbiamo trovato tante cose per la colazione, pane fresco, latte, frutta salumi. Abbiamo davvero apprezzato tutto."
Luxurious cottage, accessible & pet friendly, beautiful location, stunning views

"We had such a lovely stay! The lodge has the most stunning views of Loch Leven, and it is only a few minutes walk down to the loch. Shona was very kind to communicate with us in advance of and during the stay— we felt well looked after. The lodge was a short drive to the train into Edinburgh, where we were able to enjoy the Fringe festival and see the Tattoo. It was great to stay in such a beautiful, peaceful place while still having access to Edinburgh. Beds were very comfortable, we were able to dine indoors and outdoors, and we were only a short distance away from Loch Leven’s Larder (definitely stop down there for a coffee and breakfast). Would love to return to Balgedie at some point. "

"No reception- we were emailed door codes. Room was fine but lacked curtains or good blinds so it was very light. Restaurant was shut on the Monday we were there though there were other options in town. Parking could be a little tricky but we got lucky. Town and local park / lake / peninsula are very walkable."

"The property is a 3 bedroom/ 2 1/2 bath with a garden, very close to a supermarket. It was very easy to communicate with Christine and she was available for any questions. Kinross has a High Street with a number of shops and restaurants. The Loch is an attraction with boat rides out to the island where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned. We enjoyed the trip to the island and exploring the ruins of the castle. The property was very comfortable and provides a base for many day trips: Dunfermine, South Queensferry& St Andrews to name a few. Buses run regularly to Edinburgh and further north. Kinross is an excellent location as a base. Highly recommend this property."
