"Had a great stay this weekend. The facilities are great. The restaurant and bar staff are excellent and very helpful and efficient. The food was good. The night porter also assisted with pick up and drop off from the lodges to the restaurant on Friday as it was very wet so that was appreciated. Only a couple of things that could be improved, the bed in the standard room is a small double so I felt like I was going to fall out. As a female who does a lot of solo travelling (though not on this occasion), the lack of lighting from the lodges to the restaurant/bar/spa is not great. Had I not been with my friend, I wouldn’t have gone up after dark. Overall though, a lovely relaxing stay. "

"Relaxing two nights with excellent food and service. It was a frosty two nights and our en-suite bathroom suffered a wee bit from lack of heating but otherwise a superb stay "

"This is possibly the most charming hotels and place I can remember staying. It’s an old building in a harsh Scottish environment and that is part of its charm. If you want pristine decoration it’s not for you. If you want excellent hospitality, fantastic staff and walls full of the owner’s original art, go. Walk the Crinan trail - the view from the viewpoint is one of the best on a clear day (it is a steep walk though). A genuine Scottish gem."

"Hands down my favorite hotel during my trip. On the day of my check-in, I made dinner reservations and unfortunately I ran into car trouble so I was going to miss dinner hours by 20 minutes. Immediately when I got to check in, they offered to make me a plate even though the kitchen was closed. 10/10 hotel! I’ll be visiting again"

"We had an early ferry to Islay the next morning, and the staff were so thoughtful to prepare our breakfast ahead of time and leave it at the front desk. Great service and nice, comfortable room. The hotel is also very close to the ferry terminal — only about a 10-minute drive, which was very convenient."

"Our Princess Suite room was wonderful - nice size, nice bed and view over the harbor, in this comfortable and well appointed small guest house right in the center of Tarbert town. We would happily return! "

"This a lovely chalet in a beautiful location....incredibly peaceful with fantastic views. It was more spacious than I expected from the photos and was very comfortable. The kitchen area is small and it would have been good to have bit more storage space for food. There's a great variety of walks in the surrounding area and I was happy to see otters nearby. "
