"Great place in Kilmartin to stop for the night on your way to your next stop. Right by a free museum. Excellent food at the hotel, both breakfast and dinner. Staff is super friendly, showing the hospitality of the Scottish people."
"Enjoyed our one night at this hotel . Staff were fantastic . Very pleasant and we felt comfortable to ask if we needed anything . Room was a little cool but had a heater which could be used if needed . Bed was comfortable . Food was lovely ."
"Lovely hotel with easy parking, great food (try the tart for dessert!), beautiful views in the lounge and restuaraunt, and a delightful pool and spa area. Note that you do need reservations for the outdoor hot tub (we were late arrivals and early departure, and did not check on the process for that).
Would happily return and hopefully spend more than one night next time."

"Wonderful building, room v comfortable, anazing views.
The staff are a real highlight - friendly and great at their jobs. Characyeristic of the friendly attitude you find everywhere on the island.
Enjoyed the food, too. Will be back!"
"Ah, what a gem of a place! A bit off the beaten track, but that's exactly what I was looking for and the Galley of Lorn did not disappoint.
The overall air is casual, the staff are friendly and chatty, and nothing is too much trouble.
The whole interior looks fairly recently updated, but it's left with enough older features to retain some character.
The rooms are all named after Scottish islands, and we stayed in Skye. The room is black and gold decor, done well, not at all overstated. Usual tea and coffee, small fridge (tiny, and tucked inside one of the bedside cabinets,) a safe, hairdryer... Most, if not all, the things you might reasonably expect.
The television is probably the largest I've ever seen in any hotel room, which was excellent, and there's an Alexa Show by the bed as well.
The bed itself is relatively firm, which suits us entirely.
The bathroom is clean and modern. It has an excellent waterfall shower in a double sized shower cubicle, with good water pressure.
And then there's the view from the room onto an inlet of Loch Craignish; I'll add pictures.
Food, excellent, no complaints. Large plates of well made meals with a focus on locally sourced produce, from Cristian the chef... Don't tell him it's excellent, his head is said to be big enough already.
Must mention Laura, receptionist/ barmaid/ waitress, for just being excellent all round. "
"This was our second stay and it’s a lovely property with wonderful staff that was both friendly and very accommodating…the food in the restaurant and sea deck bar is excellent. Our only complaint was a musty smell in one of the two rooms we rented that was quite overpowering and the lobby fireplace wasn’t working on a cooler day when the patio door was left open. We would definitely stay here again."
"Always a warm welcome, comfy beds, very quiet and peaceful. Staff really go the extra mile. Even brought us plates and cutlery for our takeaway. Lovely old place. "
"The chef and the floor staff in the hotel restaurant should be complimented on their food, appearance and attention to detail. Just amazing keep up the fabulous work. The bar and lobby entrance sharp and sophisticated , I must say a special mention to the front bar with view over the bay. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed and decorated. For those with fur friends - there is a doggy wall of fame "
