I use this property quite a bit while away with work. I choose to come back here as the rooms are clean and tidy, the service is excellent and the quality of food at breakfast and dinner is superb. There is a cosy bar with a great selection of drinks and a roaring fire in the winter. There is a bit of construction work going on at the minute however the inconvenience has been kept to a minimum. At my last visit I managed to leave a receipt that I needed in my room. I contacted the hotel and they emailed me a duplicate without any trouble so thanks to the Team for helping me out on that front!

Room smelt a bit of mildew/ damp. Had to find room and key was damaged so had to go back to reception. Readily given some ice in a tea towel to smooth an injured knee. Bed quite basic. Road noise in room but facing sea / river beyond. Breakfast served by teenagers and not offered toast or milk for coffee.

All staff with whom I engaged were very polite and chatty with a great friendly manner. My one and only comply was that there was no phone and internet service in the room I had been allocated. I was only there for one evening so it wasn’t really so bad. Breakfast was excellent!!
