I booked 2 rooms, both of which were excellent, very clean and beautifully furnished, recently fitted bathrooms with excellent facilities. The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable in the beautiful location. We really enjoyed our pre dinner drinks by the open fire in the guests lounge and learning about the history as we explored the building. Delicious food, we met the chef who checked our exact needs. We could not find any faults at all with our stay and it was terrific value. We would also say thank you for the personal extra messages from the owner with directions and checking that everything was satisfactory with our stay which I am delighted to say it was. The grounds are lovely and had we had more time and better weather would have explored more. If I come back to this area of Scotland, I will definitely rebook and cannot recommend this location enough. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

What a gem. Didnt know this place existed but so glad we found it. Jennifer and Paige were superstars, full of smiles and very welcoming. Just what weneeded after a drive from Weymouth. Food was very well presented and exceeded expectations. Tranquil and expansive grounds for dogs to run around. No traffic. Good for them. We would recommend and will definitely go back.

Fantastic hotel experience.

What an absolutely lovely hotel, only stopped overnight but during the stay the staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them. Will definitely stay there again.

Stately home

Great place to stopover (we had a long trip from southern England to northern Scotland). Very dog friendly with beautiful parks for the dogs to run. It just feels like you’re staying in a stately home.

What a gem. Staying at a manor like Springkell was a highlight of our trip. My wife thought about Pemberly from Pride and Prejudice when we stayed there. It was a wonderful place to stay en route from Scotland to the Lake District.
