Tucked between dramatic Alpine peaks, this charming village offers excellent skiing in winter and hiking trails with panoramic views in summer. Take the Almenwelt Lofer cable car for access to mountain restaurants where traditional Austrian dishes taste even better with those stunning valley views.
"Nice, comfortable, tidy room. Reasonable hours for staffing. Excellent breakfast that consisted of breads, cheeses, sliced meats, fruit, scrambled eggs, and various toppings like honeys and jams; though breakfast does cost extra. Sometimes it’s much cheaper when booked on Hotels.com than with the hotel or in person (€15 per breakfast, but I think we only paid $2 per day with Hotels.com). Bus stops right outside that takes you downtown, and the bus to the airport is about 100 yards away. Would stay again!"
"Fantastic hotel with extremely comfortable beds and well maintained rooms. Service was excellent. Easily walkable from the train station and very central for walks to old town, bars/restaurants, and around the river. "
"Beautiful property in a very peaceful surroundings with stunning views. There isn’t anything about this property that isn’t perfect. We only stayed 2 nights and wished we would have booked many more nights. A trip to the alpine lake was amazing, magical in fact! "
