Friendly staff, good location, Sainsbury's right around the corner, convenient. The lobby and the reception area are nice but the actual rooms need some upgrades. Fuzzy TV (wouldn't connect well with YouTube, remote control was not working so well..) Kitchenette was fine and I liked using it but you should bring your own kitchen supplies like dish soap, sponge, etc. (although there was a dishwasher and pods.) There were enough plates and cutlery, which was nice but don't expect enough salt and pepper for cooking. It was good to get our coffee stocked every two days of cleaning services (which wasn't the best) but again, for the buck no complaints.

We stayed here at Marlin Waterloos for 7 days and it was wonderful! They cleaned the room every 2 days, and were super helpful whenever we had questions. The location was incredible. We were a 2 minute walk from a perfect bus stop to get around and less than 10 minute walk to multiple under grand tube stations and railways. It was only 10 minutes or so walk to many great attractions like the London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament and many more. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Situated in the heart of London visiting the tourist attractions were a 15 minute walk and were easily accessible. Location ,location , location. Would have given a 5 rating if breakfast was included.

We loved the Marlin Waterloo! Everyone was super friendly and helpful, and it was in a great location within walking distance to so many landmarks. There was also an underground entrance just across the street that made everything else we wanted to see super accessible. We came for the London Marathon, and we would absolutely stay here again.

We had a decent stay and as someone who has travelled frequently, I am surprised it is considered a 4 star hotel. I would think 3 star at best. The first noticeable thing was the smell of the room. Our suite had 2 rooms and bathroom separately. There was a urine/public bathroom smell that lingered no matter if we closed the doors to each room. From a 4 star hotel you would expect the bare minimum of amenties such as disposable tooth brush/combs/razors/qtips… there were only a shower gel set (body/shampoo/conditioner). The room key cards are reused (obviously) but they were kind of dirty and sticky. The staff and service were average to below- our room did not have a phone so we would have to go downstairs to ask for things. When we would use the luggage storage service - its the small things of making you do it all yourself and not helping with our bags ( we had elderly people) The location is convenient- walkable to many attractions but it was the small things that made it 2.5/3 stars at best.

The hotel uses WhatsApp to communicate as there’s no phone in the room. However, it was a slow and inefficient process. Responses were delayed and requests were not fully fulfilled. Our double bed was uncomfortable as it was basically 2 twin matresses put together (not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel). The sofa bed mattress was sagging in various places making it also uncomfortable to sleep. Would say the quality was generally lacking.

Wonderful hotel within a nice walking distance to Big Ben and the London Eye. There is a grocery store a few shops down and the kitchenette made it easy to make our breakfast before some early morning tours. The luggage storage was also very appreciated.

We had a great time at London's Marlin Waterloo. The hotel's location was excellent -- you can see the London Eye from the hotel's front door, and a couple nights we walked from Trafalgar Square and the theater district back to the hotel. Not a short walk but not a million miles. The room wasn't huge by American standards, but it was okay for two adults and two teenagers. The hotel staff was very nice. All our family birthdays happen to fall within about ten days. The hotel staff dressed the room for a birthday surprise (balloons, card, message on the mirror, Paddington bear) for my son on arrival for a small fee. The boys then secretly asked the hotel if they would do the same thing for free, as a surprise, for my wife and my birthday a couple days later, since the boys didn't have any British spending money. The hotel did them the favor, no charge, just to be nice. There's a Pret a Manger right next door, an all night souvenir and light grocery store two doors away, and a larger grocery store next door that stays open late. One block to the Lambeth North Underground Station. Lobby was pleasant, the bar/lounge was very nice. The bathroom was also very nice and modern, and in the past we've found some British plumbing -- well, troublesome. Very well stocked kitchenette, from the coffee and French press to the fully stocked cabinets. For the price, the Marlin Waterloo was a great value. Very happy with our choice. Thanks very much to the staff.

Property was extremely convenient and close to attractions and amenities. There is a tube station on the same block and Waterloo tube is a short walk away. This hotel is located close to many pubs and restaurants and a short walk to Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

The staff were pretty perfunctory, but pleasant enough. The room was basic but comfortable, if cold when I arrived. The stairs were not accessible, which for someone who hates lifts, was annoying, and it took me a while to work out i needed to use the key for the lifts. Overall, reasonable, if costly for what it was.

The property was dirty, j found hears in the sheets, the pillows, the floors were not clean, even found a bottle cork. I advise not to stay, the bathroom has build in the ceramic tiles. And the worse part is that management won't do anything. I tried getting a refund to leave to anther hotel and they wouldn't do i leaving and loosing money but better than having my 7 year old be in a place with this condition.

Good spacious room for a family of 4. Great service and helpful staff. Next to a little market and 2 tube stops. Only thing is that the clothes dryers don’t work. But great place overall
