Apparently it’s undergoing renovations but in reality it looks like a flop house. General condition is awful with paint chipping, cracks in the sink and toilet, bathroom door was rotting at the bottom, no decoration on any wall, the carpet in the hallway was covered with some kind of plastic runner that had holes all over the place and what it was supposed to be protecting was no better, the bed was the cheapest metal frame with an equally cheap and uncomfortable ‘mattress’. The only small pluses were that the sheets and towels were clean, the shower was hot and the guy on reception was pleasant enough otherwise it would be zero stars…avoid.

Only if you’re desperate and there isn’t anywhere but the streets. It was heated, warm water, clean bedding on a thin mattress, severely slanted floors, broken toilet seat, mold in the shower, deteriorating laminate flooring, cigarette burns in the only chair in a very small room approximately 8x10. Narrow steep staircase, no elevator, carpeting severely worn and torn, offensive odor, no food option which I’m glad of and no phone.

Great location at great price. Stayed after a Christmas Meal as cost was less than a taxi back for me would have been Bed was very comfortable. Bit smelly in corridors - possibly a few homeless people being put up?

An absolute dump
This place is struggling. From the vacancies available pasted on the windows to the dirty furnishings and walls, fly blown lampshades, lack of a matress protector, absence of sink plugs, blown lightbulbs, rotten and un-shuttable window sashes, torn fire instructions, non-locking door. I could go on. Let's face it - it's a flp-house charging £70 / night. On the plus side - the shower was hot but the controller faulty so I narrowly escaped a severe burn. Life is too precious to take a chance on this establishment.

The bare minimum--Dismal
The Berkeley Court Hotel was a bitter disappointment. Although the young receptionist, Warren, was friendly and kind, the hotel did not even provide drinking glasses in the room, nor an electric kettle, nor tea, coffee, and certainly no complimentary biscuits. The bed was decent, the shower was hot, and the window did open for fresh air. However, the bathroom was quite dirty, and everything was quite dingy. We did like the high ceiling, and the bedsheets were clean. I feel the hotel owners had decided to do the minimum, just to profit from the hotel's good location near Marble Arch. It was rather grim and a disappointment for our long-awaited holiday. Choose a Travel Lodge or Premier Inn instead.

When we arrived the receptionist couldn’t find out details so I had to prove I booked a room by showing my email. When we got to the room it smelt of chlorine so we had to leave the window fully open while we were out. One of the bedsheets was too small so exposed the duvet and some of the stains on the mattress. Around the room and common areas you could see where repairs had been covered up but not repainted and that was the case in 2 areas of the ceiling in our room.

Do not stay here!
This hotel is utterly disgusting. My room was in the basement; no windows, stinking of mould and filthy with dust and hair all over the floor. There’s no tea and coffee facilities or even a plastic cup in the room. The shared bathroom was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for months. I’m used to staying in cheap hotels but this one was truly dreadful, avoid! The rooms are not remotely like the pictures, do not be fooled!

réceptionniste souriante et sympathique. Chambre Moquette élimée, parquet se décollant, sol de la salle de bain irrégulier et dans un mauvais état - nous croyions que ce dernier allait se dérober sous nos pied. Les rideaux étaient couvert de taches rouges (probablement du sang). Des moisissures étaient présentent au mur. La propreté était plus que douteuse. Les tiroirs remplis de poussière. Vous vous voulez du double vitrage : ici ce ne sera pas le cas. De l’air circulait entre le 2 vitres de la fenêtre fermée. Comment Expedia peut il proposer un tel Hotel !

Basically disappointing
We stayed in a below-ground level room with a shower that didn't work (you couldn't control the heat so it was too hot to stand underneath). The bathroom seemed to be undergoing some kind of building work. There was graffiti on the bathroom wall. The beds were okay but the carpet was shabby and my bedside light didn't work. The service was okay but the interior of the hotel was just basic, like it hadn't been painted for a long time. Really a depressing experience.

Gives the Hotel industry a bad name.
From start to finish, dirty, unkempt, falling apart and not fit to be called a hotel. Even calking it a hostel is a stretch of the imagination. Give the hospitality industry and London a really bad image. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Good location; poor hygiene.
The location of the place was fantastic, but the conditions were terrible: the room was too small for a king size bed and it was not clean, the bathroom was too dirty (walls and glasses were really dirty - I had to buy wet tissues to clean the mirror, just that I could see my face; the water in the shower accumulated to a degree that my feet were under it, even though I turned the shower while I was soaping).

This is definitely not a nice hotel. But, it's cheap and clean enough that staying here for one night didn't dramatically impact my overall experience. Not sure if I'd stay again, but probably if it was just me (no family).

Not a comfortable stay
Definitely a generous photo - does not show the worn flooring, the dodgy wall heater connection, and generally poor condition of all the communal areas. It is a low market hotel, with strange check in requirements. They insisted on a copy of my passport, which required sending it by email (very insecure for such vital data) even though I had prepaid. The room was freezing. Eventually I got the heater working, but slept with towels and coat on the bed for warmth. On the plus side, it was cheap and the location is good.

This hotel was very disappointing. I wish I did more research before booking, as there were many places within walking distance in way better conditions for the same price if not less. I would know because I had to leave this place and book another one. After barely making it two nights here I could not stand staying another minute. The room was the size of a closet, there was mold all over the bathroom, the bed was barely a sheet cloth over metal spring surface. I lost money as they wouldn’t refund me the nights I had left, but I didn’t care. I had to get out of there. DO NOT STAY HERE. There are far better options in the area for the same price.

Although this is ofcourse meant to bea cheap hotel, so you dont expect the Ritz... however... for £100 a night you would expect better considering the Travel Lodge we switched to was only £44 more... Imediately the outside screamed don't go in, the sign was cracked and looked like it had not seen a sponge in many years. The carpets were filthy throughout. You have to sign your life away on entry too. Once handed our key we got to our floor where the smell of cigarettes was so strong. Once we got into the room, the floor was unstable to say the least it qctually felt like we would fall through it! It was on a severe slant fro. Left to right too. We literally fell out of the bed when laying on it... oh and the bed was springy and horrible. There was a bite mark taken out of the toilet roll and the shower looked awful. Oh and there was a large burn mark on the desk in there too. Only one Outlet aswell! We were there around 10minutes before booking another hotel. We spoke to the host there and asked for a refund due to the severity of how bad the room was, he went and checked himself, came down and offered another room. We did not want to waste time with checking another room and just asked for mkney back, to which he refused to do so. So we just left and went and stayed at the Travel Lodge. Avoid at all costs. Its not even a budget friendly hotel, when £20-£50 more you can stay somewhere much nicer!

Elendig service. De havde ingen nøgle til værelset. De måtte ned og kopiere en nøgle på andendagen som vi så fik kl. 11. Værelset er i så ringe stand og sengene er helt uden for kategori. Kan iķke anbefales. Personalet forstår meget lidt engelsk.
