Its ok good but could be better
Its was good dont get me wrong lovley open spaces but there were bed bugs in the room and thr floor boards are super creaky and loud and disturbing

Good value stay
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was a good size and bed was comfortable. Room was one of a trio which shard a bathroom which was large and clean. Large number of food outlets within walking distance of hotel Canning Town tube is round about 10 minutes walk away.

Infested with Bedbugs
We booked 5 rooms at Canary Heights for business purposes. Two employees had to leave in the middle of the night as the room they were staying in was infested with bedbugs and cockroaches and they sustained multiple bites. We then booked new accommodation for all employees as the likelihood of the bedbugs being restricted to one room was highly unlikely. We asked for a refund for all 5 rooms, however, Canary Heights would only agree to reimburse for 1 room. I find this highly unacceptable given the circumstances. Our employees have had to throw away all of their clothes, bags and shoes etc and we have had to pay for our vehicles to be fumigated and have not been compensated for any of this. This has been a horrific experience for all involved and not to receive at least a refund for the rooms is extremely disappointing.

Not Impressed
The accommodation was far from clean with unknown dirty Marks on walls and curtains. There was also several holes in the floor where it seem the flooring had collapsed so you would fall into these when walking round the bed. The bed itself seemed to have sand or grit in it which when I laid down ended up in my mouth. The mattress was lumpy and there was no support from the pillow. I didn't sleep a wink

Ok overall and served a purpose for a good price but very poorly signposted, very odd check in process (insisted only photo ID) and no kettle (despite quite well equipped kitchen and tea and coffeee provided). But the room itself was ok, bed was comfy and the room was quiet.

The hotel was reasonably ok. Clean bed sheets, tea and coffee facilities in the room. The shared bathroom was kept clean regularly. Is good if your staying for an over night trip on a budget. There’s no parking at the hotel so you need to find street parking. Tube station is about 10 min walk away.

The female at the front desk was nice and accommodating. The house keeping staff was as well. Only one elevator, Wifi wasn’t very good. Only two towels unless requested different every day. There was not much help when asking about close bars and restaurants for recommendations. Only one key given.

We do provide room service and change towels everyday and extra towels are also supplied if any guest request at any time. Sorry that you did not get much information about bars or restaurants. We do have a pub just next to us and as there are lots of restaurants near to us so guests get the chance to choose according to their choice.

Not the classiest of accommodation and the area isn't the best. The building is basic but the rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Not a lot of traffic so quiet.

Convinient clean and affordable apartment
A well priced apartment 10mins away from canning town dlr which suited well for working at excel for 10 days and worked out really good value. Whilst it's not luxury, the studio had a kitchen which meant we could eat in and cut costs. Beds were comfy and room serviced daily with 24 hour security / reception, kept clean with everything we needed. Essentially the rooms are a sub divided apartment with one studio and 2 doubles sharing 1 full bathroom and a separate toilet bathroom so no issues waiting for and both kept clean. Plenty of shops, takeaways etc nearby, on street parking at the back only restricted between 1000-1400 so if you're driving and out during the day works well. Let's be honest not the best prime area of London but suited for what we wanted and for the price was perfect and would use again.

The staff were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Cleanliness of bathroom etc was exceptional. Cleanliness of the rooms weren’t good. I stayed in the same room for over a week and the same straw which was on the floor when I arrived was still there when I left. Please hoover more regularly! I was in room 24b. The room was a double size but it would be good to have a sitting area. Tea/coffee facilities supplied but no access to kitchen water! You’re expected to use the bathroom water??!! Maybe throw in some bottled water is my suggestion. The walls are cheaply built so all sounds from next door can be heard and also room doors are not closing without pushing them hard.

Staff were ignorant and rude. Customer service poor. Room was ok. Bit misleading on the advert. They made a mess of the booking with the people we were travelling with which resulted in my friends paying for 2 separate rooms instead of 1 twin room and refused to refund the money for the room that wasnt needed or used

Great value for money. The initial room I paid for was not shown on the image. However, I was able to upgrade to a studio apartment. I have used canary heights apartments a few times before. I think it’s excellent. However, when it came to paying for the upgrade.. they charged me a bit more due to hotel.com saying I only paid £31 but I actually paid £41 (they made me pay £10 extra for the upgrade than I initially would’ve)

The apartments are a really good size and have everything you need. Yes they are a bit basic and lumps and bumps under the carpets etc. But generally well presented for the price and really good value. Easy to get into central London. Staff were really nice on reception but daily housekeeping was really bad - didn’t happen at all some days even when we complained. So be prepared to do everything yourself and you’ll be fine. I would use again due to the price, location and size of the apartment.

A great no-frills hotel.... if you have ear-plugs!
I needed to stay close to the Olympic Park, to get there 6ish the following morning to take part in the Prudential RideLondonSurrey100! I left it quite late to book somewhere, and was very relieved that Canary Heights had space, at a very fair price. The staff were so welcoming and pleasant, and I was very relieved that they let me take my precious cycle into my room with me - no way would I have been OK with leaving it outside! Clean room, nice comfy bed, and I had no problem with sharing a bathroom with the other room on my floor..... but.... some problem with the way this block is built means that ANY footsteps in the neighbouring room sound as if a gym session is taking pace. Voices sound clearly through the walls too. The lady next door tapped on my door to ask - very politely - if I might be quieter. I had to explain that I could hear everything from their room too - it was just how the building was..When I went to bed, I planned to leave the window open, as I thought it would be very stuffy if not. As Canary Heights is on busy Barking Road, this was a mistake..... An hour or so later, with the noise of traffic, including police helicopter, emergency vehicle sirens, I gave up and closed the (fortunately effective) double-glazing. It wasn't too stuffy, so I should have done that at the start I guess. This is a great hotel if you want something simple, not spacious... and have earplugs with you!

Hot and bothered
Lack of air conditioning on a hot day in the rooms is a massive negative. For the price you pay you get standard living conditions. Sometimes there lift doesn’t work Staff seem understaffed when it comes to checking in time.

The lift was broken and we had to go up 9 flights of stairs. The staff was very rude and kept ignoring me when I asked about my room. Then he kept saying to upgrade so when I eventually agreed he then says there no bookings for the upgrade room ? Our room is so tiny we could barely fit our suitcases in and the room was so hot I couldn’t sleep. There were spider webs on the ceilings and the carpets had burnt patches where looks like hair straighteners have been left on. Black marks on the white walls. I know it was a shared bathroom however the people near us left it soaking wet and dirty. But I eventually had to tidy up after them which was disgusting. Well definitely not be coming back here again.

Bad area with dubious staff
Small place, far from the city centre in a seemingly dangerous area. Had a police restricted crimescene half way towards the tube station one of the days, and a few fights in the street at night. The hotel also seems to employ people who genuinely smell really bad and I did not feel my laptop was safe in the room while I was gone, and didn't feel safe walking past 10PM so I had to cut my days a bit short.
