We didn’t even stayed there it was filthy and disgusting.. toilet was out of order bedsheets were filthy curtains were half broken carpet was nasty smell… the list is too long to write in short the hotel was pathetic that after even 7 hours drive we didn’t stayed there and came out straight away .

This hotel is as shabby as it gets. The first room offered was totally unsuitable - the lights didn’t work. The bathroom was tiny and the drawers were filthy. Having moved to a slightly larger room where the lights worked, it was as shabby. They wanted a deposit of £20 to use the remote control for the small tv in the room. I didn’t use it. The location is by a 24 hour petrol station so it’s noisy. There is limited parking on site if you can find the hotel. There’s a sign to the left of the petrol station for this hotel, but it’s actually down a cul de sac and not signposted. There are claims of a breakfast included - a sign on the door of the room, but when I asked the member of staff on duty, he said that it was an old sign and no breakfast was offered. Quite glad actually. Overall this is a place you won’t revisit, but if you have to stay in East London for one night, you won’t die.

Usually I am happy to leave a glowing review. Sadly this will not be the case in this instance. Appalling service at the front desk, half hour to check in, complete lack of security, absolutely no amenities, not even a drinking glass, shockingly bad bathroom space and very poor shower, dirty bed sheets, TV the size of a postage stamp. Other than that, a great experience.

This hotel is not worth booking even at a cheap price unless you are prepared to sleep in filth. Staff just shrug their shoulders when you complain, and refuse to refund unspent nights, expedia are no help either. Stained Duvets, mouldy ensuites. But it does have parking :-(

The bathroom was disgusting! Couldn't even use the shower because of the dirt. Room itself was clean and bed was comfy. Just wish we could have had a shower in the morning to freshen up. Staff are lovely. Very little space for parking.

This hotel is in terrible conditions, would use it just as a last resource, the neighborhood is also quite sketchy. Still I would never submit a bad review if it wasn't for a member of the staff who was so rude to me and my family, he had the worst attitude, we just tried to keep a smiley face and hope to be over with our visit soon.

PHOTOS ON GOOGLE ARE OF A HOLIDAY INN AND NOT OF THE HOLIDAY CITY INN!! Location was great for working at Tobacco Dock. Hotel was not easy to find, however, the staff in the petrol station are used to being asked. The room was basic, which is what I expected, however, the standard of cleaning was very poor; stains on the walls of the room, the shower looked as though it was rarely cleaned (if at all) as did the curtains. The staff on duty was very friendly and helpful. Parking is limited.

Me and a friend shared a room whilst seeing an event close by that ended at 3am. The staff were nothing but friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay again and would recommend as it was everything we needed

Worst night of my life. There was an incident there doors kept slamming. People shouting. My family and I felt at risk in our room. Also no phone in the room to contact reception and no security to resolve the problem

Cheap and cheerful
The room was cheap and cheerful. It was all we needed (family of 5) just to crash for the night. So wasnt really bothered about the bad bits. It was a bit grubby and run down but the sheets were clean and bed was comfy! There were no free toiletries as stated and certainly not any air conditioning, we just had a fan - it was so hot and humid. The area is "propa" London - the bits you dont see on tv but really need too! I loved the area, culture, shops and people.

Truly awful
The room was filthy, dried vomit on the carpet and the bed stank of urine. No staff could be found to complain to. The shower room was also disgustingly dirty, the shower cord was black with grime and the shower didn't work! I really don't know how anyone could expect a person to stay in a room like this, it was terrible to have to spend the night in such awful conditions.

You get what you paid for
Like the title says, you get what you paid for. However, the staff was very friendly, near some great bars and restaurants. The room was a little too small, but gets the work done, since we used it to sleep and bath, we were out all the time. If you are looking for a place to crash without luxury this is the place. The only thing that I didn't like is that we have to leave the room key at the front desk before we go out of the hotel, but we didn't have any issues whatsoever.

When you walked into the hotel it has a nice marble staircase and looked modest, Inside the double bedroom was tightly spaces with a en suite bathroom, but the bedroom looked clean. However the cleanliness of the en suite bathroom was a different story! The en suite smelt a bit like cigar smoke when I first walked in, the toilet needed a good bleaching, and the base of the shower was very grubby looking along with some of the shower fittings that also looked a bit grubby. The listing for the hotel notes the rooms as having sound proofing, which they don't as I was rudely awoken the next morning by the guests stopping in the room above me who were thumping and banging loudly. I planned on checking out late than I actually did because of the noise. Parking wise, it's a bit of a had-hock affair with not much room outside for guests to park. I actually got parked outside ok, but if the hotel is vey busy with guests who have cars, then you might struggle with parking!

The condition of the hotel is above average,the room is comfortable and clean. The staff are pleasant and helpful. There is always someone on duty. There is a room to park your vehicle. All in all a good experience and would visit again.

The hotel is conveniently located for public transport, and the staff are friendly. Our bedroom was comfortable, but the bathroom was full of black mould. When we reported this to staff, they were not at all concerned.
