Cheap private room
This is student accommodation that turns into a bed and breakfast over the summer. For me this meant that I had a private room close to central london for the price of a hostel bed. The building, the rooms, the bathrooms are quite old. However, it didnt really bother me since I was staying there only for one night. It was quite loud at night as its located in a busy area. There is no sir conditioning. The breakfast included in the price was great with variety of foods offered. They had vegetarian sausages and soy milk for tea/coffee.

Great location , beds very comfortable after a day walking around London. Very good breakfast, all staff, from reception to kitchen very nice and helpful. First time we stayed in student accomodations and we were very impressed, if you are going to spend more time discovering London and not spending your time in the bedroom I'd definitely recommend

The staff at the breakfast and the receptionist y the night are super nice. The cleaning stuff as well and the room and all the building is well maintained even if it is old building. The only thing I did not like is when a stranger opened my door when I was into the room, they might were checking who was inside as I booked twice.

Stayed here with my family for our daughter's graduation at the Royal Festival Hall. Easy to walk to, fantastic location just behind the Tate Modern and a stone's throw from the most iconic spots on the Thames. Also, good value and great choice at breakfast. Will use again.

We had a nice stay. It is hot in London, but cooled off at night so we could have a goodnight sleep! breakfast was very good. Lots of options! Great for travellers on a budget.

Good value for money.
Great location for walking everywhere. Very central. Accommodations very basic for a university type dorm. Toilet didn’t flush well even after someone came and serviced it. Window didn’t open, needs repair. Breakfast very good. Lots of selection. Highlight is good value for the money.

LSE Bankside was average for a dorm. It was clean and reasonably quiet. The windows in the rooms didn’t open much so we were glad it wasn’t too hot out when we stayed. In retrospect, I do think we probably could have found a more comfortable hotel for the rate we paid for two adults and a youth.

Great accommodation for the price you pay and includes cooked breakfast with good choice of food. Good fast wifi. The room could do with a repaint and bathroom door needs a repaint but all very clean. Lovely view of the Shard on floor 6 room 620. Good location behind The Tate. Loved the breakfast choice, looks a long queue to get in but moves quickly. You have scrambled or boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, baked beans, hash browns also self service of pancakes, yoghurts, fruit, waffles, cheese, ham, toast, lots of food to choose from. There is a queue for hot drinks. I also like luggage storage with a security man in the room so know luggage is safe. A 10 minute walk to tube stations, I used Blackfriars across Blackfriars Bridge.

The breakfast is really good and the staff is really nice. They loaned a hairdryer after ours broke. The bathrooms are a little small and there is no TV, but to be expected since these are dorm accomodations.

Great, basic and affordable place to stay in a good location. Getting a room with ensuite shower is the way to go. It can get crowded for breakfast, so make sure to go early. Good breakfast and they even have an automatic espresso machines on the right-hand wall. Would come again.

This accommodation is a great option given the central location and affordable budget. The breakfast offered is excellent. The staff were friendly and the ability to drop your luggage for a few hours after check-out was very appreciated. The 4 person room we stayed as a family (2 adults, 2 kids) had a strange layout that felt a bit cramped. But that's a minor complaint as we were mostly out and about, exploring the city.

You are told only to drink water from the kitchen, and not from the bathroom taps. However, our nearest kitchen was closed, and all the kitchens are locked from 12midnight until the morning. This can lead to a situation where you actually cannot gain access to drinking water in the night. Towels, soap, shampoo, coffee not replenished even though I stayed for three nights. A rude person in the luggage room.

My only negative comment will be for the employee at the luggage storage room. When I told him that I will come back and collect my luggage at the evening, he laughed at me (literally) denying to keep them until that time. I insisted saying that no time limit for the storage is mentioned and then he accepted telling me that he will transfer them to the reception. Otherwise, the stay was excellent, with perfect breakfast and affordable price.

Staff helpful and unobtrusive. Breakfast pretty good, a real range of options and quick and easy even at peak busy time. Lots of younger people staying when we were there in late June, but there was a real mixture of ages and nationalities, and it feels like a perfectly welcoming space. My grandmother in her 80s enjoyed the atmosphere, and there are lots of walkable restaurants and cafes very close by. It was quite noisy in the evening, though we stayed over Thursday night - but the window did a good job of shutting out the sound, and it wasn't too stifled or hot considering the heatwave.
