Great location but most other things were NOT ideal

First, the check-in process and the initial communications with the property manager were very disappointing with the lack of clarity, lack of follow through and asking me to agree to house rules that were never provided despite previous requests.Second, the house itself is in a great area, but it could be so much more if a little attention was paid to details. There needs to be a book on premises with instructions on where things are and how to use certain items in the house. We had to go out and by trash bags, simple condiments, pepper, etc. because the house is truly bare of many essentials.Third, the property manager, cleaning company or someone else caused damage to the door frame to the basement after we checked out when they tried to open the latch, but ended up blaming us for the damage and charged us almost 1,900 for their issue.We would not rent again and would suggest everyone else rent from someone else.

Cold & steep

I had to initiate the communication. Would not give address until 3 days before and finally gave entry information the morning we landed. All thru messenger - no other contact information. Told to contact 3 different people - very unorganized as to who did what. Advertised as 4 bedroom but upon arrival there were only three, said door to downstairs was locked & someone would be over. Basement is like a dungeon (not on pictures) and was freezing. When asked about heat, they replied it would take a bit, said it was centralized heating. Stayed 3 nights and NEVER got warm. Basement bathroom had water damage (probably because the shower head sprays everywhere) and they were fixing floor - looked bad and dirty. Large empty water bottle and used cup in the bathroom. Towels were in washer/dryer - we had no clue if clean or dirty. 2 bath towels per bathroom - ZERO handtowels anywhere in unit. No wash cloths. No paper towels or napkins only 6 decorative napkins on table. Window in master bedroom doesn't seal tight and rattled LOUDLY when any wind blew - couldn't sleep. Strange man came up from outside basement entry.We asked manager about it as kinda creepy and scary and was told there is a storage unit they use down there (seperate door). Maybe identifying yourself as we're all staring at you?7 separate flights of steep stairs. We're in good shape and still was not fun. Anyone who has any mobility issues or little kids should NOT rent this. Just way too many negatives.
