I would highly recommend that anyone staying here use a safe or bring important belongings, particularly medication, with you while you are out.

We are sorry to hear that you may have misplaced your medicines, and I can assure you that our wonderful housekeeping team would not have thrown anything away intentionally, especially when talking about medication. We take the utmost care in guests belongings, and we have never had any problems in the past with missing items. As stated in the email, we searched extensively for anything that may have been left in the room, involving reception, housekeeping and the concierge, and nothing was found. The property and our room were lovely, and overall, the staff were very helpful. Front of house staff in particular were warm and friendly. Service in the restaurant, especially on the first night left quite a lot to be desired and the first morning’s breakfast as well – they were quite surly. This improved somewhat on the second morning, but overall the service in the restaurant was disappointing. That said, the food was absolutely amazing so did somewhat make up for the service. Unexpected extras on the bill, including accommodation service – which seem to be an extra charge for cleaning the room and service added to the restaurant meals, even breakfast, which we had paid for in advance, made the whole stay very expensive.

Great little boutique hotel, excellent service. Very quiet. Fantastic area very safe and walking distance to Museums, shopping, dining Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, etc. Highly recommend.

It’s an old building but newly renovated. The staffs are friendly and helpful but the location is bit inconvenient and quiet to walk at night.

My husband and I stayed at the Franklin it was perfect! Garden view unbelievably quiet. Great staff very friendly and helpful. Everything about this hotel was top shelf. We like the property but it needs refurbishment and is very dark in the common areas and carpets ripped in hallways. The bathroom was large but somewhat dysfunctional because the wet area leaked heavily into the dry area and the fixtures in the bath were not functioning properly. This is supposed to be a five star property and it is not. The staff and concierge were lovely and helpful. Although they gave us an upgrade, it was only after we complained about the first room to which we were assigned which was unacceptable. We told them that we were going to be leaving the hotel

Clean property and friendly staff but certainly not a 5-star hotel. It’s small and everything is very dark. They show pictures of beautiful gardens but they are not accessible and the room can either run air conditioning or heat but you can’t control both, so need to call the front desk to have them switch over between the two. We had our toilet paper holder falling off every day and when we showered, there was water everywhere on the floor. It’s a clean hotel in a nice neighbourhood, good for walking, lots of restaurants and staff is very accommodating but it should never be rated at a 5-star simply based on the facilities.

There’s nothing wrong with the hotel, location is good, it’s clean and staff are friendly/helpful but it’s just not worth the money nor a 5-star rating based on the room and amenities. If I’d paid less and it was rated a 3-4 star, I’d probably give it a much better rating but you can do better for your money somewhere else in the area.

The hotel itself was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately when we woke up early to catch our flight the property had no water. This was a huge inconvenience.

The Franklin London is impeccable. The staff is the most welcoming and eager to assist with any needs. The check in process was very easy and quick. We arrived early. They took our luggage while we explored the city and promptly delivered it to our room. The property is situated a block or 2 off a main road but felt very secluded and safe. We had many pubs and restaurants close by. The tube is very easy to use and was close as well. We truly enjoyed our stay and will book again with them.

Absolute gem of a prooerty.
Absolute gem of a property! Location is handy for Sloan St / Brompton Rd shops and of course the RAH. Beautiful cocktail bar - shame the garden couldn't be used though! Did not sample any dining options as we had a schedule to stick to. We would definitely stay again.

The staff were highly engaged and helpful. The hotel remains excellently presented and maintained. A small problem on a previous stay had been rectified and particular attention was paid to this matter on my subsequent stay. This was a reassuring demonstration of an attentive management team. Being over-finicky, I happened to drop a coin which rolled under the bed, where I noticed more dust than I would have expected, but this was easily forgiven on an otherwise outstanding experience

The second time I have stayed here. All very good except that this time a staff member told me that I had to pay a new tax for luxury hotels of over £40. Upon questioning her, it eventually transpired that she was lying and there was no tax but what she then described as a 'voluntary contribution', actually a tip for the staff. I won't be staying here again.

A beautiful retreat in London
Beautiful hotel in a lovely part of London. The whole hotel was pure elegance. It is a very small hotel which just added to its romantic hideaway appeal. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, something that can be hard to come across in the capital. We could of easily spent all day just relaxing in the hotel bar. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent. We will definitely be returning soon, next time with our son and hopefully for a longer visit.
