"Perfect spot for a family trip. The kids loved playing in the spring behind the property and the property is close enough for a day trip to Garner State Park."

One bedroom cabin minutes from the Frio River and Garner State Park!
8/10 Good
"Nice and comfortable. It had the appearance of clean but the coffee maker was dirty and had a used pod in it. The rest of the place looked fine though. Could use some basic maintenance: loose towel holder and TP holder in bathroom, one of the shower heads is non functional, and the AC vent in the bedroom won’t open. It appears to be too deep for the opening. The bed was comfortable however the bedspread was very lightweight, luckily I had a clean picnic blanket in the trunk of my car. The windows could use some curtains. I was uncomfortable with space between the window edge and the blinds."
Secluded Ranch Cabin between Garner and Lost Maples
10/10 Excellent
"This place is perfect. The cabin is arranged practically, brimming with nostalgia, history and rustic charm. The two queen beds were clean and VERY comfortable. Water pressure was amazing and the hot water was hot! Since it was late March, we alternated between heat and A/C with no problems. But what impressed us most was the physical setting which is gorgeous. The owners have clearly invested lots of patience, thought and time in cultivating the natural wildlife habitat that surrounds the cabin. No fewer than 12 hummingbirds were jockeying for position at the feeder on the porch literal feet from where we were sitting the first evening we were there. We counted quail, dove, starlings, cardinals, robins, blue jays, scissor tails, wrens and finches. And the morning we were leaving, all that PLUS four HUGE tom turkeys feet off the porch, with plumage on full display trying to get the attention of some hens much more interested in scratching for seed than they were the strutting toms. Like... completely ignored them. While all that was going on, down in the pasture that rolls gently down from the cabin, about six deer were passing through and just walked through the back yard, paying more attention to the toms' performance than the hens. That doesn't just happen without intentional care. If solitude, nature and the funky quirks to be found in the Texas Hill Country are your vibe, this place is your jam."
Frio River House + Bunkhouse, Private Volleyball Pool, Pavilion, Riverfront!
10/10 Excellent
"Our family made the sweetest Easter memories here, and we are so grateful for such a wonderful place to gather. The host was very responsive, and the property was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly spacious. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy being together. The pool and pavilion were perfect for our large family gathering and made the whole weekend feel even more special. We also really appreciated the thoughtful, practical touches, like not having to strip the linens off the beds and having a dumpster nearby for easy trash disposal. It made everything feel so easy and comfortable. We truly loved our stay and would happily come back."
Cozy cedar/rock cabin & bunkhouse with private access to the Frio River.
10/10 Excellent
"Key word is rustic. Perfect getaway cabin for the family. Reminded me of our mountain cabin in Utah. Easy access to the river, loved the bunkhouse for the boys, clean overall (it’s a cabin), nice big deck in the back, modern washer and dryer, nice big screen, plenty of space for a large family. Only downside was the ants around the sink and cupboard. Again, it’s a cabin"
"Very cool and comfortable place. Extremely clean and big. Tv could be a little bigger but other than that it’s a great place and great customer service "
"This is an amazing property! The owner/host was super to work with. The property is decorated with great taste for being in the hill country birds everywhere, deer, feeding in the backyard, quiet and relaxing.!"
Dark Skies & Private Frio River Access. Dogs Welcome! Book Now for Fall Foliage!
10/10 Excellent
"The place was amazing. The view was beautiful every morning. We enjoyed a cup of coffee, me and my wife the only but I would say is that the river was not as available as assumed my daughter had a broken leg and it was not easy to get to the river with all the rocks to get there. "
Take the family on an outing to Love Creek Orchards Cider Mill and Country Store during your trip to Medina. Stroll along the riverfront or experience the area's festivals.
