We loved our stay at the GA Palace Hotel. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Our room was wonderful. We loved the pool area (even though the floor is very slippery). Our breakfast was amazing. Would definitely go back if we get to Porto again.

This hotel was amazing. I’ve stayed in many high-end hotels around the world, and this one truly impressed me. The décor is beautiful, the room was spacious enough for both my mom and me, and the bathroom—especially the shower—was fantastic. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh options and attentive staff constantly replenishing everything. Honestly, it had everything you could want in a hotel breakfast and it was such a bonus it was included. We stayed on the classic side of the hotel, and everything was well maintained and comfortable. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the Douro River and close to all the main attractions, even for my 70-year-old mom. The staff were incredibly helpful and even gave us a detailed overview of what to see and where to eat. If you're looking for a stylish, comfortable, and well-located hotel with great service—this is it!

"Staff were super pleasant and professional and, bar a wonky wall mounted rack in the bathroom that meant we had to put our soap on the floor, the room was clean and well kept. Air conditioning temperature is locked at 19 degrees centigrade as the lowest temperature possible. Not ideal for everyone ..."
