"This was a very old historical building in as good of a shape as it could be. Some uneven floors and a lot of steps to get to your room. It was small and quiet charming. The staff was pleasant and helpful. A bus stop was right out the side. Very pleasant. The bed was nice, no air conditioning, but it was fairly cool when we went in August, 2026. They had a fan. We are from Florida so the low 70's was a joy for us for August."

"Glad and Kenny gave us a really nice welcome when we arrived even though it was late. They showed us round the property which was absolutely spotless. When it was light the next day we could see the lovely garden over breakfast. The house is in a secluded part of the garden. Really enjoyed our stay as we went into Durham for the day. We will definitely visit again. "

The views were amazing and the under floor heating was welcomed during the storm. It started our Christmas perfectly and the 6 of us have said we would love to return. It is a hidden gem! we we stayed 6th-9th Dec 2024"
