Paolo’s apartment

Fabulous apartment and the location was excellent. The host was always available for any needs. I highly recommend this choice of accommodations, I definitely book his apartment again if we ever come back to Lucca

Such a great time in an excellent spot

Paolo was so welcoming and helpful when we arrived. He walked us through the apartment, answered all of our questions, and gave us a guided tour of his favorite spots in Lucca. The apartment is in an excellent spot in the center of Lucca, which made stopping by in the middle of the day very easy. Paolo sent us a message in the middle of our stay asking if all was okay and if we needed anything. Great time! Highly recommend!!

fantastic host and appartment in the centre of lucca

Our stay was such a beautiful experience, especially because of Paolo's flexibility and helpfulness. The appartment itself was pleasant for us. It had a nice bedroom as well as a nice bathroom and the kitchen was easy to use as well, although a gas stove was a new experience for us. Another great aspect was, that the appartment is located directly in the centre of lucca, in one of those beautiful italian streets. It is also easy to go on several day trips from there via train, due to the station being relatively close. We can definitely recommend choosing this appartment and would also love to come back. Perfect place for a perfect stay

For my 3 week stay, I cannot fault this property! Excellent location just steps from via Fillungo and Piazza San Michele. Immaculately clean, organised with fully equipped kitchen complete with cookware and condiments, an iron, ironing board, washing machine, drying rack and linens. Very comfortable with excellent wifi. Paolo is a wonderful host. Easy and prompt communication, friendly and accommodating. He has great tips for the city as well. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing stay and wonderful host

We had an incredible stay in the heart of Lucca, the apartment was spacious with all the comforts of home. Paolo is a friendly, attentive and kind host. Loved that he provided a bottle of Tuscan wine and fresh flowers. Would love to come back!

Easy, comfortable, central lication

Paolo was perfect host; apartment well stocked, little extras like milk, wine, coffee and pasta and sauce. Paolo walked us around to market, veggie stand, pharmacy and stayed available thru what’s app for questions, good advice for specialty stores. Above and beyond, best service we’ve ever had at bnb.

Amazing Host!

Paolo is a wonderful host. He showed us everything in the apartment, walked us around the area, and left an abundance of things for us (wine, fresh flowers, milk, sandwiches, etc)! He also took the time to drive us around the area and took us to a couple of vineyards to do some wine tasting. Thank you so much Paolo!! It was a pleasure meeting you and wonderful staying at your apartment. Highly recommend.

Surpassed expectations!

This charming little apartment in the heart of Lucca was wonderful. Email communication with Paolo beforehand was easy and he was very good about responding promptly and answering all my questions. As promised, he came to meet us at the train station and show us "home". The apartment is beautifully appointed, EXTREMELY clean (and I am very picky!), and so very cute! Paolo has thought of everything a traveller might need that they couldn't/didn't bring along. He also went above and beyond, wth fresh roses on the table, something to eat on our first night there, milk in the fridge and coffee. He is a very kind, honest and straightforward person. The location is superb to explore Lucca and within walking access to the bus and train stations for exploring other towns, as we did. Hands down, this was the best place we stayed on our trip and the only bad thing I can say is that we had to leave! Do not hesitate to stay here: you won't regret it.

Just home after staying in Paolos apartment for 6 nights.This is a beautiful apartment,spotless,well equipped,everything we needed for our stay. Paolo was a considerate very likeable host and helped us with anything we needed to know. On arrival we were given a lovely welcome package,much appreciated. Lucca is a beautiful city with many lovely restraunts.Loved Da Nonna Clara restraunt and the lovely churches and buildings with beautiful architecture. We will definitely be back to this lovely Apartment in the Centre of Lucca. Many thanks Paolo and look forward to visiting again Best regards Mr & Mrs Mccafferty from Scotland

Perfect family get away

We had a wonderful stay at Paolo's apartment in Lucca; Paolo has thought of everything and the apartment was exceptionally clean and of a very high standard. It is in a great location and Paolo was extremely welcoming, helpful and efficient. The welcome goodies were a lovely touch. We would definitely recommend this apartment and would return.

Fabulous holiday in Lucca!

We could not have wished for a better holiday, starting with the welcome we received from Paolo! His thoughtful provision of a light supper and bottle of wine on arrival late at night was so appreciated. The apartment is incredibly well positioned within the walls, we enjoyed a daily walk around the top of them and never tired of the views. Paolo has given great attention to detail, everything you need is there which was brilliant, he really wants his guests to feel at home and enjoy their stay. The bed has to be the most comfortable we have ever slept in! Highlights of the week were the early evening Puccini concerts (on EVERY night of the year in a church less than a 5 minute walk away!) and Mendelssohn concert - what a brilliant way to start the night and we can really recommend the 'Paris Boheme' restaurant in Puccini square for supper, the pasta with fresh fruit was amazing .... sounds strange but what a dish, quite superb! We shall definitely be going back to Lucca. Thank you so much Paolo!

Great location, great apartment.

I stayed one week with my parents in Paolo´s apartment. The apartment is gorgeous and very well located. The only problem is the fact that there is no elevator in the building and the apartment is in the third floor. Besides the gorgeous apartment and the location, the owner is awesome! Paolo met us in the entrance of the city. The apartment is located in a restricted zone and we couldn't arrive to the apartment by car. So, Paolo guided us to the nearest parking space. Additionally, he left us welcome beverages and snacks. He was great.

Great place to stay in the heart of Lucca!

Paolo's flat in Lucca certainly lived up to the photos, and then some. It was spotlessly clean, bright and comfortable. The bath and shower are gorgeous, and the kitchen has everything you need. Paolo met us with a light supper and a lovely bottle of wine, just what we needed to cool off from our journey. Lucca is right at your doorstep, all the Piazza's are within easy walking distance, and the historic wall is wonderful for an evening's stroll. Paolo is a warm, helpful and caring host. We would absolutely recommend Paolo's lovely apartment in Lucca and hope to visit again one day. Ciao!

Relaxing

This apartment in the walled city of Lucca is just my family needed. We were at the end of our month long vacation in Italy and to finish up at Santa Croce apartment was such a pleasure. The apartment is very clean, and with everything that you need - stove, large kingsize bed (very comfortable), large fridge, TV with multi lingual station and the best thing a WASHING MACHINE!!!! Fantastic location but sometimes can you can hear the street noise but this was more with Friday and Saturday night. Also Paolo is an awesome host and will help regarding restaurant locations etc. I will and have recommended this property. Thank you Paolo.

Wonderful, well-appointed retreat in Lucca's heart

We absolutely loved staying in this apartment! The location is great, being in the center of Lucca; everything is a short walk away, even the train station. Paolo is very thoughtful, providing many extras that we don't normally expect in a vacation rental - maps, tips, detailed "stuff to know" about the appliances. The Internet was great, and we enjoyed being able to watch several World Cup games on the satellite TV. All fixtures & appliances are modern, and the hide-a-bed is comfortable. Paolo is easy to work with - very friendly personality, speaking very good English, and very responsive to email questions. He is obviously & rightfully proud of this apartment. Of course, every place has some downsides, so just be aware that there is some street noise due to the location; the windows are good but don't seal it all out. As you can expect, there are stairs to apartment - so if you have a hard time with stairs, look elsewhere. The beds are on the hard side, but this is typical for Europe - none of the places in which we stayed had what we Americans would call "soft" beds. Overall, highly recommended - we stayed in five different Italy lodgings, and the family agreed that this one was our favorite!

Perfection with Puccini

Paolo's Santa Croce apartment in the heart of Lucca really is perfection. We stayed 10 nights, part of a 3 month visit to bella Italia (our 9th and always in apartments) This beautiful apartment would be one of the loveliest we have stayed in. My correspondence with Paolo from Australia was always answered promptly and efficiently. Our meeting with him on arrival was ideal and his generosity with such a wonderful selection of wine, food and flowers was overwhelming.Grazie mille. The apartment was spotless, extremely well equipped with small details always considered. The linen was excellent, plenty of towels and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was ideal and very clean. It felt very spacious to live in, full of light, very tastefully decorated and we looked forward to coming home every day, often returning for lunch. I would recommend Paolo's apartment very highly, .The location could not be better. Paolo is a very considerate,, obliging and very friendly host, a pleasure to meet. As for Lucca, our 3rd visit, each visit brings something new and wonderful. My highlight was simply cycling around those magnificent walls. Dont miss a trip to Bagni de Lucca and Palazzo Pfanner with the most magnificent gardens (inside the walls) Esselunga supermarket is just a stroll away Cant wait to return Phil & Barb Australia

Cozy and calming appartement in the city center

Paolo's apartment was the perfect place for our trip to Lucca. It is located in the heart of the city but still it is not noisy. The apartment has got everything you need and a little bit more - ranging from air condition, TV and DVD to white wine and pasta. The rooms are very clean and nice furnished with even Florentine mosaic in the bathroom. Paolo is very nice and also provides a leaflet with all information you need.

Lovely Lucca

Paulo's apartment was the perfect place for us to stay during our visit to Lucca! It was nicely decorated, with color and brightness. The view from our eating area was nice, looking out over rooftops. The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of space in the bathroom. Paulo was a most gracious host,and went above and beyond to assure our stay was pleasant! Good location, interesting street below with all the sites and fun of Lucca close by! Grazie, Paulo!

The perfect choice for a stay in Lucca

As others have written, Paolo's apartment is even better than it looks in the photos. Thoughtfully renovated and selflessly clean and fresh, I couldn't have asked for a better apartment for three weeks in the very heart of lovely Lucca. Paolo is a gracious, thoughtful and generous host, both before and after your arrival, greeting you not only with sweet and savory treats, wine and flowers, but THE most perfect thing ever: milk for the first morning's coffee! In my case, he also was especially kind and helpful in helping me recover my luggage that the airline misplaced for a couple of days. What more can you ask for? Gracie mille, Paolo! The apartment is super well-equipped with everything you need. The bed is great and the Sky TV on the HDTV is the best I've ever had in Europe. WiFi was 100% reliable. Great selection of books and tourist info. Looking forward to Paolo' s renovation of the other apartment across the landing so that I can return with other family members. This is a keeper!

Wonderful Stay

We spent the entire month of August in the apartment and had the time of our lives! Paolo is just as wonderful as everyone else has described him. He even got us a gift for our wedding anniversary which occurred during our stay! Who else would do that? He's that caring. The apartment was even better in person than in the pictures. Spotless. Everything we could have asked for and couldn't be more central. Only quibble, as someone alluded to earlier, there is a bit of street noise as a corollary of its central location. Overall, I highly recommend Paolo's apartment. With Paolo taking care of you, you are guaranteed to have a great stay.
