"I was pleasantly surprised with Beachside Resort. I stayed here a couple of times as a child when it was The Grand Cayman hotel, and now as an adult, I've enjoyed it even more. It was really great staying further up from Pier Park. Beachside is nestled in Sunnyside beach and its probably the most quiet and safest area to visit in my opinion. We had an ocean view double queen room and I was really impressed with how big the room was. Not many hotels/resorts have rooms like that. It would be perfectly accommodating for a family of 4 for sure. But the room was clean and already cooled when we came in, so that was nice. I was kind of worried about the noise outside our room because we were right next to the main elevators, but we never were disturbed. The beds are firm, the wifi was about average speeds and we hooked up our Roku to stream and it never slowed. Of course the rooms are still a little bit outdated, bathrooms are much older and the rooms are carpeted, however for me, thats not a deal breaker. The pool was very nice and not crowded for the time of year, same goes for the hot tub. I do wish that someone would skim the waters at least once a day to keep down on the bugs that are in the pool. That would keep it cleaner. But the facilities are mostly clean and the reception area is very nice with items you can purchase and onsite 24 hr employees. The beach was great and didnt have to deal with a dumb jetski rental person. I would happily stay here again!"

"The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful. View from balcony was great. The walk out to the beach was a big plus for me and my family. Would definitely come back. "

"The Timor bar is amazing and the staff is very knowledgeable. The cleaning service did walk in without knocking once but they apologized and kept the facility clean. The elevator is usually packed so a lower floor is a good choice but if you do go higher up room 581 is a partial view but you can see everything."

"Perfect location just beside pier park. In front the pier beach and beach of course (across the street) Room is very nice, I love it and very comfortable. 2 drinks per day for happy hour (pay attention the time) 5-6:30pm only limited options but free. I lost first day. Good buffet breakfast, busy but good. My suggestion Hotel should improve the coffee and orange juice quality to meet hotel standards. Nice pool. "
