"We did not stay in the property after viewing it as we judged it to be not up to standard. We recommend the owners do the following before considering letting it again:- attend to mould issues (bedroom wall, kitchen)- clear up and ensure safety of outside space (clean up cigarette stubs, remove dangerous wood and rubble)- provide a blind or curtain in the bathroom for privacy- ensure kitchen is better presented and equipped (replace missing cupboard doors, provide microwave)- ensure cleanliness...

Waterfront Southport Hotel

8/10 Good

"Hotel is in a good location not far from Lord Street where all the bars, restaurants and shops are. Hotel is nice and clean. Check in was easy and let us check in early as our room was ready. Receptionist was very friendly. Room was spacious and clean with coffee, tea and biscuits provided. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was modern and clean. Provided with shampoo and conditioner in small bottles. Only gripe was, there was no shower gel provided? We didn’t eat here but had a few drinks and sat on the roof top bar as we had lovely weather. Car parking was great underneath the hotel. This was complimentary which was a bonus. Would definitely stay here again if we visit Southport again. Had a lovely overnight stay."

"First of all a caveat in that I stayed at the hotel whilst attending the Rebellion Festival, so I only really used it to sleep in and have breakfast. That said the stay was very good and pretty reasonable for a peak August weekend. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - first class in fact - thank you. If I'm coming to the festival again next year I'd definitely book the Park House again as it met all my requirements."

"We have previously stayed at this hotel. It continues to be maintained to a very high standard of comfort and cleanliness . All the staff ( without exception), are friendly, professional and helpful, giving a prompt and excellent service. Both the breakfast and evening meals were very good, with quality ingredients. Only one comment. Whilst all the facilities were present in our room, the room was small, with only one single window that would only slightly open. In what was hot weather, little air circulated in the room which made for a very warm and stuffy, sleeping environment. The one desk fan provided was insufficient to alleviate discomfort."

"Had a wonderful stay at the hotel 5th August. The rooms were spacious (just a bit dated), staff friendly, food yummy and it was in a great location - so close to the beach. The kids entertainment was great my 2 daughters and their 2 friends really enjoyed it and it was only £10 per child for the day. They really enjoyed decorating brownies with Ella and Ollie and playing in the area and in the pool. Ollie and the lovely entertainer/magician (sorry didn't catch his name) were great in the evening and really got the children involved and helped build their confidence to join in. The staff at the restaurant in the evening were really great too and really helpful. To be honest everyone we spoke to were very friendly and helpful. Overall a great stay and we really hope to come back again."
