Great 3star Hotel in City Centre
We were given a warm welcome on arrival. Rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable, serviced everyday. Bathroom was adequate, face cloths were a lovely, extra, welcome surprise. Breakfast room comfortable and array of choices good. Plain yoghurt was excellent as was scrambled egg! Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Hotel is in a perfect location. Roof terrace is great, sun loungers very comfortable. Bar offers snacks and drinks all of which are reasonably priced.

Wonderful, helpful staff. Close to old town Funchal and the La Vie shopping centre for supplies. The continental breakfast had plenty of choices. The top floor pool and restaurant area were wonderful. I highly recommend the Hotel Madeira

Great location. Quick check in. Very polite and friendly staff. Room as described, clean and tidy. Kettle provided. Quiet at night. Breakfast adequate, something for all diets. Would stay there again, good value for money.

We have used this hotel 4 times now and again this year didn't disappoint. the staff were great as always and helpful with any inquires you had. the food was amazing as usual with loads of options for breakfast and lunch and it's nice that they have included a barbeque option for nighttime (fish Wednesday and Saturday and meat Tuesday and Friday) along with entertainment which was a nice added bonus. You don't have to walk far to get a bus which is nice and convenient and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby. If I had to be really picky was our shower wasn't very powerful meaning there wasn't a lot of water coming out of the shower. but apart from that a fabulous hotel to stay in and I highly recommend it.

Great hotel. We were coming from America and really did not know anything about Madeira. We soon found out this hotel is in the most ideal location. In the heart of Funchal, 2 min walk to almost everything. Staff was very accommodating and the included breakfast was great. No ironing board in room so bring your own or steamer. Parking garage for rented car was across the street. Check in and out was a breeze.

Fabulous stay
Fabulous service from Luis on reception. Breakfast adequate room comfortable although smokers in the room below and when they smoked the smoke came into our room! Disappointing that the safe isn’t included in the room. Excellent transfer service to and from the airport. Great location. Pool are clean and nice terrace bar.

Best staff and location
The hotel is in the heart of Funchal, so you get to experience the actual city centre (away from the heavily touristy area to the west of the city). The hotel has an amazing terrace with some great view, a bar and swimming pool. And the best part is the staff, they were super helpful and friendly, they're really doing well their job!

This hotel is basic basic basic, but on the other hand it's clean, includes a pretty good breakfat, and location wise it's smack in the center of things. It seems hotels in Madeira are generally overpriced, that's why this one is $128 a night for an interior room with no view and very little privacy. Madeira is definitely a one shot deal, but if had to go back I would probably stay here again.

Excellent stay at a lovely hotel.
Fantastic hotel, clean and tidy, excellent location. One of the receptionists was fantastic (didn't get his name), very cheerful and friendly. Miguel in the bar on the roof is also an absolute credit to the hotel, nothing too much trouble and works so hard. The rooms are relatively small but clean and well appointed with a good shower. Wifi excellent throughout. Breakfast is fresh and kept topped up with a reasonable selection although generally the same most days.

Take me back - perfect
Great hotel, people are amazing so friendly, smiley & welcoming. Great breakfast, spotlessly clean everywhere, comfortable & spacious room. Roof terrace view is beautiful & a great place to relax. Perfectly located hotel out of the area known as hotel hill which is soulless compared to this location right next to the beautiful central municipal park.

Should I move here?
3 outstanding features: 1. Could not be more central -just behind Jardin Municipal; staff uniformly so dependable & helpful; single room w/balcony on 3 offered wonderful city/harbour views with lush greenery to the side. Price very reasonable & offers of 15% discount for return stays. Rent kettle for E1/nite. Go!! Island has stunning natural treasures. City exceptionally well-run & people-focused. Not yet 'touristy', & that goes for hotel too. Dec 17-22C during my stay, but was still too chilly for me to take advantage of rooftop pool, yet I marveled at the views!

This small hotel is in a perfect location for the old city section of Funchal and just walking distance to the waterfront Marina and beach. The decor is minimalist modern, and for a 3 star at the upper end with a boutique feel. Word of caution: “ beaches” on this island are not sand but rocky. Use appropriate footwear like water shoes, sandals or flip flops. The front desk service is superb. Breakfast is spartan but wholesome. It is included in the price. Nothing elaborate but great croissants, espresso coffee and scrambled eggs, cereal, yogurt, fruit. Tgere are abundant restaurant choices just steps away from the hotel. The rooms are super clean, comfy beds and a quiet nights sleep guaranteed. Porch if you get one is a nice view of the old town and municipal gardens. Two complaints. No coffee maker in the rooms and the rooftop pool is basically wading only. Don’t think about laps. There is a small rooftop bar if you drink and just wish to stretch out on a deck chair. Excellent view from the rooftop as well. I stayed for a little over a week and loved it. Yes it is 3 star but if you don’t need the plush of a 4 or 5 star environment to be happy I can’t recommend this little hotel enough. Now that I’ve returned home I miss it already and hope to return some day.

Amazing place simple well located and all you need to be comfortable. The hotel have amazing location is near a shopping center and have also near by Parque De Santa Catarina. I am from Madeira and my visit was just amazing to tell you the true I was not aspecting what I had. The staff is amazing from Breakfast to the bar near swimming pool. Prices are reasonable ok compare to other hotel. If you don’t want all the luxury hotels this one is amazing simple clean and comfortable even have a machine in case you have last minute hungry you can go by a chips chocolate or drink. I definitely will be staying there again.

Well situated close to the marina, and to the old town. Very close to the lovely municipal gardens. Our room was a little smaller than we expected, and one of the doors on the balcony was screwed shut. The street outside was lively on Saturday night. Buffet breakfast was good, but I would have liked greater choice of cereals and hot buffet. All the staff were helpful. I had a big birthday during my stay and found a complimentary cake in our room - a lovely touch!
