It was ideal location for exploring funchal and have some relaxing time by the poor. We really enjoyed the local Lido which is just 5 mins walk. The room was spacious and spotless and the selection of food at breakfast was excellent.

Really loved it. My friends and I extended our stay because it was so pleasant & convenient. We do wish that they had provided paper towels for the kitchenette & that there was an additional air vent in the main bedroom when you pull the sliding door closed, for privacy or sound/ light blocking. The spa was very nice, too, and wish we could've enjoyed it more

Good value for money, but nothing special.
Quick & easy check-in. Rooms a little dated, but plenty of space, kitchenette, comfy firm beds, really powerful shower. Breakfast ok, the usual options along with tasty bread/ pastries. Star of the show was the omelette to order station, however, if you go too early or too late to the buffet, you’ve no chance, as the lady only did about an hour’s stint! The outdoor pool was pleasant, with plenty of beds. Youngest son wanted to use the gym, but was too much of a kerfuffle for the few days we were there. He was told to go next door to the shopping mall, tell them when he wanted to use it , then go back into hotel to access it. Strangest arrangement ever for working out! Location pretty good; close to shops, bars & restaurants, then about 30 minute walk into Funchal. Didn’t go into their bar; it looked a little depressing. They let us use the showers & towels in the spa after we’d checked out, as flight home not until the evening. Overall, good value for money, but not a particular memorable hotel.

Brilliant
Absolutely brilliant, stayed in a suite they upgraded our family to a room next door to us. Also because it was there wedding anniversary they left completely a bottle of champagne, cheese and biscuits in their room. Breakfast was super anything you required was there, defo recommend also the spa was excellent

We enjoyed our stay at the Four Views Monumental. The pools were great. Our room was clean and more spacious than we expected, however the air-conditioning was unreliable. The shower in our room could benefit from a little renovation, however it still got the job done. Please note, safes are available, but there is a daily fee to use them. We were there for 4 days and only once did we have an issue with the parking lot being full, which meant we had to wait until there was an open spot to park. The location was super convenient for us and very walkable.

Overall good and photos accurate of accomodation
Four views has a good overall standard of accomodation. I had an issue whilst staying which informs my score for service as ok rather than higher- the issue was resolved but involved too much input from myself over many days of the stay,akinge wish I'd not raised it and was left feeling some staff were not entirely sympathetic, despite outward politeness. However, we are all under stress in these difficult times and the issue was unrelated to essential issues such as cleanliness and quality of accomodation. Both of these were good and hotel clearly prioritising safety without losing sight of guest comfort. Guests awaiting covid test result when tested at airport as I was due to not being able obtain my test result in as last minute booking. The only area that this less true was the restaurant. Disposable gloves provided for use in the buffet but no guidance to state this or requiring it so had to figure it out yourself and no interaction from restaurant staff for guests not using them.Also, tables not being cleaned as efficiently as needed, a shame as occupancy low when visiting and staff not overstretched. Reception staff generally helpful, friendly and kindly maintained same room when extended stay.Sadly a further issue on check out as charged for extra nights which I'd already paid for. Altho dealt with, no apology offered and a cursory goodbye said.Shame as, even when there are issues,I always try to maintain understanding and good relations and appreciate same in return

the place is very professional, receptionist are very polite. Place is close to everything. I had gotten a mountain view room but i would highly suggest to get a ocean view!

The check-in process sucks in that it doesn't matter how long you have been traveling, how tired you may be since they require you to wait until after 2:00pm to get a room. This sucks. They they don't tell you about the drip drip charge of paying in cash for a key to the room safe. No you can't charge it to the room or pay for it with a CC. You must pay in cash. Feels like a rip off. Someone is pocketing the cash.... 15 Euros a week.

Good 4 star hotel near Lido
Good 4 star hotel in the centre of the tourist district. Convenient for both tourist buses and local buses and has a multitude of restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. Only downside is the fact that it is on a very busy main road.

Pretty average.
A surly greeting from the Reception Staff. No porter to assist with luggage. No help with pointing out the lifts. A charge of €15 for a key to the room safe wheareas in all hotels we've stayed in before it is taken as a deposit and returned on leaving. Friendly cleaning staff. Room clean and tidy and very comfortable with the sea view. Breakfast as always was very good with lots of fresh fruit. Overall disappointing after our stay there 5 years ago. I wonder if the 4 views Baia is any better?

Nice hotel
This freshly refurbished hotel has comfortable spacious rooms and excellent facilities. Funchal is a 30-40 minute walk or a very inexpensive bus ride from close to the hotel. We had a sea view room facing South and with a pleasant balcony.

A good hotel
I stayed at the Four Views Monumental hotel for 11 nights and was very pleased with the quality of the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very enjoyable with lots of fresh fruit(cold milk for cereal would have been better!). There was always enough sunbeds and umbrellas which was great. Maybe a little more variety with the entertainment.

Ett bra val, trots en del minustecken.
- Perfekt läge, 35 min promenad till Funchal centrum, massor av restauranger i närområdet, underbara strövområden t.ex. längs strandpromenaden. - Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. - Lokalerna är i bra skick, trevligt poolområde - Sängarna hårda. - Luft konditioneringen var svag. Marginell på vintern, förmodligen inte tillräcklig på sommaren. - Frukosten var bra, om än i tråkig lokal. Mot slutet av frukosttiden var det svårt att hitta ett ledigt bord, eftersom personalen var långsam att plocka undan disk från borden. - Gymmet var stängt. Som ersättning fick tillgång till ett allmänt gym, i shoppingcentrumet intill hotellet. Detta var lite nedgånget och öppettiderna beskurna, särskilt på helgerna. Detta är mycket irriterande om man försöker genomföra programmerad träning.

L'albergo è pulito piscina doppia all'aperto e una al coperto. Parcheggio gratuito unico problema la sera se si esce e di rientra si può trovare pieno ma aspettando 10 min un pisto si libera. Unica pecca la colazione ricchissima di salato e frutta un po' po povera di dolci.

Hotel muito bem localizado mas com alguns aspetos antigos que revelam que o hotel já tem uns anos, exemplo apesar de o quarto estar parcialmente reformado tem móveis antigos e uns roupeiros com um cheiro lastimável... não coloquem nada dentro do roupeiro fica com um cheiro horrível. O Pequeno Almoço é muito bom e o SPA é razoável, a terapeuta "Maria" é muito boa mas está um pouco datado...

Nice pool and clean rooms.good breakfest. Had problems sleeping due to lots of noise from the poolbar long after midnight. The aircondition wasnt working properly, had to wear earplugs to sleep when it was on.

+ gratis parkering i garage under hotellet + bra pris (vi valde halvpension) + trevligt spa med inomhuspool, bastu, duschar, jacuzzi etc som ingår, och även utomhuspool + trevligt rum med bra med plats för hela familjen och härlig havsutsikt - maten var tyvärr ingen höjdare. Stort utbud vid frukost och midagsbuffe men flesta huvudrätter var smaklösa. De borde ha ett fåtal rätter och göra dessa bra istället. Efterrätterna var nog bäst :)
