Maiden Newton station. View NW, towards Yeovil, Westbury etc., also formerly Bridport: ex-GWR (London, Reading, Swindon etc.) - Westbury - Yeovil (Pen Mill) - Dorchester - Weymouth main line. Formerly this was the junction for Bridport, closed 5/5/75 after earlier 3/12/62 closure of the line to Bridport West Bay

Notton Bottom View north east down Notton Bottom from the very south west corner of the grid square with in a few metres of the two grid lines. Close to this point a bridle path and track enters the square running from Notton Hill Barn (in SY5994) at the top of the Bottom to Notton Farm at the bottom of the Bottom.
