Coopers Lodge | Luxury Lakefront Home + Pool & Spa

Luxury lakeside lodge on Lower Mill Estate, Cotswold Water Park, accommodating 4 guests. Enjoy serene lake views from two en-suite bedrooms, a bright open-plan lounge with vaulted ceilings, modern kitchen, 50″ Smart TV, and wood burner. Step onto the balcony for alfresco dining. Guests have complimentary access to the award-winning spa with pools, sauna, steam room, and gym. On-site facilities include boat and bike hire, tennis, MUGA court, fishing, and yoga.
We will be as attentive or as distant as you choose. We have prepared a comprehensive guest folder with all the information we feel may be useful to you, which also provides contact details for the house managers who will be happy attend the property should the need arise. We just want your stay with us to be relaxed and hassle free.

Life at Lower Mill

Lower Mill Estate is a perfect blend of nature and modern living, set on a unique 550-acre Cotswold Water Park Nature Reserve. The estate is home to some of England’s most diverse wildlife and flora, with wildflower meadows, woodland, lakes, and rivers. You may spot deer, otters, beavers, and badgers in this carefully managed, unspoilt landscape, including two Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

The estate features seven lakes, three rivers (including the Thames), and hundreds of acres of meadow and woodland, all criss-crossed with scenic nature trails. Only a third of the land is developed, leaving the rest untouched for nature to thrive.

Explore on foot, by bike, kayak, or paddleboard—all available to hire on site with life jackets. Walking trails are dotted with picnic spots, streams, and ponds, perfect for a peaceful day outdoors. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy the outdoor tennis and MUGA courts, while children will love the playground. For ultimate relaxation, Cooper’s Lodge guests have full access to the estate’s spa, indoor and two outdoor pools, and fully equipped gym (bookable slots available).

Food is never far away: the estate’s Ballihoo Restaurant offers a varied menu from brunch to wood-fired pizzas and fresh salads, catering to all tastes and dietary needs. For essentials, the plastic-free Ballihoo Market has you covered, while nearby pubs and restaurants provide plenty of local options.

Lovely peaceful stay

A wonderful place in a beautiful and peaceful setting. The house was perfect for cozy time in and the surroundings ideal for Autumnal walks, canoeing on the lake and swimming in the fab spa. A perfect family break.

Lovely Stay in the Cotswolds'

Fantastic stay in Coopers Lodge. The property is as described on the website and the location is beautiful. Very comfortable and amazing in the evening with the wood burner on. We stayed with two children who enjoyed exploring the site and using the swimming pool and play areas. Neil, the owner was fantastic and very helpful - Would recommend to everyone!

Wonderful House and Location

Lovely 4 night stay in a peaceful location. We loved Lower Mill Estate and the wonderful restaurant and bar which we could wander to in the evenings. The house is beautiful and has everything we needed with two balconies that benefit from the afternoon and evening sun. Neil was easily contactable when needed and very flexible with arrival and departure times. We felt very welcome there and we fully intend to re-visit.
