The resort was great, staff was awesome, food was pretty good! While the room was mostly great there were a few things that could use attention. 1. Shower had some mold spots. This is most likely due to not having a bathroom exhaust fan in the bathroom. 2. The pocket door was pretty much a two person job to open and close. 3. The slider didn’t lock. As for the resort, overall was great. Kept clean, lots to do. The market place was expensive but it is what it is. The hours were a little off and it was odd that the marketplace was locked with chains from the inside. The coral cay bathroom was dated. Needs some touching up from the peeling paint. Can totally tell that it was the original area for the pool bath.

We stayed one of the rooms with two queen beds. The room was fairly clean, but the design of the bathrooms leave a lot to be desired. The door, specifically was very difficult to open and close. I love the design of it, but it could have been so much better, for instance, how about adding a handle so that you can actually close the door? The toilet and shower area should have been separated by a door as well so that the sink area is usable by one other person. The shower has no hooks for hanging clothes or towels and no handles to hold onto in case an older person, such as myself needs assistance in and out of the bathtub. Essence, these bathrooms need to be updated for safety and convenience.

This is our 3rd time staying at Hawks Cay and we can’t speak highly enough about the resort, and its staff. It is the perfect middle point in the keys - providing you with the ability to explore north and south. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We accidentally left a life jacket on a chair near the marketplace and it was still there the following morning! It is clean, safe and perfect for families traveling with small children. We CANNOT wait to be back again! My only tiniest complaint would be that it cost $42 for 2 margaritas- where back in 2022 it was $30. Needless to say, that was the only time we had a drink by the pool. Otherwise a truly amazing experience yet again.

I liked having two pools one for the kids and one for the adults. The third pool was closed for unknown reasons. Check in at desk took way too long. We were okay with waiting until the Villa was ready but then we were told we needed to go back to reactivate wrist bands which we did only to be told it didn't matter. We go back to villa (walk) and bands don't work. We were unable to unlock villa and told to go back to front to activate wrist band but then maintenance let us in. Had dinner at restaurant with over an hour wait and the food took way too long and was way overcooked. Would never go back. Very pricey.

Staff was really friendly and accommodating. Overall grounds were nice. We stayed in one of the town homes. A couple of nights the neighbors were up late and being loud and inconsiderate. Disappointed on the people staying there and the amount of random trash they left. Great place for younger kids, there were a lot of them. The amount of elementry age kids was a distraction from the overall beauty of the place.

Really a great place for families to stay in the Keys. We were here in peak season (spring break) and found it difficult to find chairs by the pool or lagoon. The wifi was really poor in our lodgings. The villa was clean and comfortable but a bit dated. I loved that they offered on site activities- we were able to enjoy the dolphin experience and the snorkeling adventure. Onsite restaurants were very good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I was a nice resort that checked all the boxes for me and my 16year old son. Safe for him to be independent and have fun. Easy for me to lay by the pool. We swam with the dolphins and would recommend it to all.

The resort has a lot of activities to offer for young families and adults. Thankfully there is an adult only pool area for those looking for quiet vs. the fun chaos around the family pool area. Having the dolphin connection onsite was wonderful. Nothing like having your morning coffee and watching the dolphins play. The report really has everything you need onsite, but prices are steep. Would grocery shop first and make sure you have all the sunscreen and toiletries you need prior to getting to the resort

Friendly staff. Beautiful location. Could do better with more kids activities. There is a lagoon which is great, however, only 2 kayaks so the kids had to wait a long time to use them. Otherwise it was great!

Great place for kids. Lots of water activities. Food is expensive at the resort restaurants but reasonably priced restaurants nearby. Our room was clean and had a great view of the canal. The only downfall is that there was metal clanging outside our room every night for the whole night which made it very difficult to sleep.

We loved the property. The grounds were so beautiful and we enjoyed our days by the pool, kayaking in the lagoon, and watching the dolphins. Our kids were entertained and my husband and I really enjoyed lunch and drinks poolside. The amenities really make this place special.

Maintenance of outdated rooms
Hotel has a great location. 1st impression is amazing. The hotel needs updating, the lifts are old and the carpets are stained and dirty. The floor in our room had not been swept and was sandy and dirty. The bathroom toilet paper holder was broken and left on the counter. The bath hot tap was also broken so no hot water in the bath. We had to use the shower to fill the bath. All was reported to the reception. Took numerous requests to get repaired and eventually the hot tap was removed and nothing said. Overall quite disappointing as this was not communicated to the Manager until I saw him on the day we left.
