"Two grandsons got several splinters on the pool deck. Loose kitchen faucet and two toilet paper holders. Absolutely disgusting vacuum canister! It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned out in ages! (My husband cleaned it thoroughly)! Very loose trash can holder.loose balusters on deck rail."

"Excellent location on the beach. Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Rooms were clean. Mattress felt dated and too soft, not supportive. Our car got stuck in the sand in front of the house so beware of where you park. Seating on the porch was very limited."

"This is our second stay (3rd trip to the island). The house is great. House is well appointed. Has great location to west beach. Love that end of the island. Tons of space inside the house. Love lot and house position relative to the neighbors. Really appreciate the owners opening their house to us and our two dogs!Opportunities for improvement:- beach towels- more towel bars in bathrooms- master bath as walk-in vs tub/shower- grab bar at each shower’s entry- the grill functions but it’s not in good condition and there wasn’t a grill brush- if you have dogs, and bring their kennels… it’s easier to get them up into the house via the back stairs (wider and no switchback)- dining table chairs best suited for young butts - host/mgmt responded quickly to questions/concerns"

"We had a wonderful stay at Beach Break. Very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We also had the opportunity to watch movies during a stormy morning which was cozy and great! Dauphin Island is a gem and we will gladly return!"

"Overall, we were very pleased with staying here. The house front door window, kitchen flooring, and front and back decking could use a little TLC but the house was quite clean and well kept otherwise. Thankfully, we read in the description that they provided limited supplies, so we packed our own. It would have been nice if they at least provided one coffee serving per day rented but not a huge deal. The beds and pillows were very comfortable; we all slept great! The beach front rooms have very sheer curtains which offered little privacy and let the daylight in with sunrise. The heated pool and hot tub were enjoyed throughout the stay. We all agreed we would definitely rent this house again; great location and good accommodations at a reasonable price compared to similar houses on the island. We even got to watch dolphins our first day out the front and back windows!! Lots of Terns, Pelicans, and Gulls daily, too."

"We had a great stay and will definitely be back. The location to the beach helped us let our older kids go out on the beach and we could still see them from the house which was nice! It was perfect having a bathroom for each bedroom. I will suggest bringing hand soap for each bathroom as there wasn't any. They did provide shampoo, conditioner and bath soap. Overall would strongly recommend. We didn't bring any pets with us even though that was our initial intention when we booked. "
