Pets are allowed there is an additional $75. Located on the beautiful banks of the historic Suwannee River. Enjoy making memories while fishing or bring your own water vessel and explore Florida's nature at its best!
Visit nearby Lafayette State Blue Springs Park where you can take a dip in a cool refreshing crystal clear spring or Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park where you can do a little cave diving or just sit back relax and take in natures beauty while sitting on the dock overlooking the Suwannee River.
If Saltwater fishing is what you desire Steinhatchee Florida offers some of the best fishing in the Gulf.
Come for the night or stay for awhile you will leave with a smile.
The River House offers a fully stocked kitchen, linens, towels, charcoal Bbq grill as well as a washer and dryer.
I supply the necessities such as toilet paper, soap, shampoo garbage bags and paper towels
The house is located on concrete block stilts. Stairs are required for entrance into the home.
Please Note:
The house is nestled in the woods on the banks of the Suwannee River so there is the possibility of coming upon wildlife such as deer turkey or even an otter please don't harass the wildlife as for they feel this is their home too.
The River House sleeps 5 offering a king size bed a full size bed a twin size bed.
The River House is in a very rustic off the beaten path of life.

What a STUNNING location, Right on the river and in a place that feels so calm, peaceful and restful. We loved our short visit. The home is warm and inviting. We kayaked the river - and loved it. We hope to come again!!!!

Quiet and peaceful getaway

The little house on the river is very homey and cozy. The river view from the windows is amazing. So many stars to gaze at during the night and the peaceful flow of the river washes away all your worries. Great place for a couples getaway or a family gathering. Dorothy the host was amazing. Very attentive and kind. I would certainly stay again. The house is very close to springs and very country. Just what I was looking for. Thanks again for opening your home to a lovely vacation.

Beautiful location, and easy check-in process. There are 2 bathrooms, HOWEVER one of them requires you to exit the house and go into a space in the parking area to shower. The bathroom in the house also has some issues draining. The house needs some TLC over all. But the views are gorgeous and for what you pay it’s ok.

Family vacation 2022

Riverfront Cabin

This was a wonderful home right on the river with good access. Large, quiet, comfortable and clean. The loft, and ground level suite offer versatility. Nice stretch of river also. Enjoy!

Pure relaxation

This was the perfect spot to go and relax. Quiet, comfortable and pure nature all around you. Small towns close by, springs and other outdoor activities available. We will be back, and bring the grandkids next time.

Just What We Needed

Our stay at the river house was amazing. The space itself was well stocked, it was clean, the beds were comfy, and the view was beautiful! Our dog loved roaming around the yard and park picking up all of the scents:) Check in was simple and communication with Dorothy was smooth from start to finish. We loved it and look forward to another visit!!

Riverside getaway

My wife and i wanted to spend our 5 year anniversary somewhere quiet surrounded by nature, i will say we were so impressed with the property, not only was the living quarters beautiful but the location on the river was an anglers paradise, while we were there we caught 3 different species of fish, enjoyed some great dinner and at night got to gaze up at the stars, i would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a great getaway!!

River House Retreat

We really loved being right on the river. The grand girls liked being tucked away in the upstairs loft room at night and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Our hostess could not have done more to make us feel welcome and assisted quickly in our requests for supplies for our longer stay.

Amazing!!

The home was exactly what we needed to unplug. The host let us check out late and her home was very clean. Very hot water and the bed was comfy. Definitely recommend. We'll bring the kids next time
