"This is a very basic, no-frills motel, but in Burney there truly aren’t many better lodging options and this one ended up being a solid choice. The biggest advantage is the location: it’s only about 20 minutes from Burney Falls, which made early park visits easy and stress-free. While the motel looks a bit run down from the outside, the room itself had some surprisingly nice amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable and we got some of the best sleep of our trip. The room also included a microwave, refrigerator, and decent coffee, which we really appreciated. The property has a small dog park and a few picnic tables, which is a nice touch. The only downside was that they seemed to be out of ice consistently. Burney is a small town, but we enjoyed some surprisingly good pizza at the bowling alley just steps away from the motel. We stayed over July 4th weekend, and it turned out to be the perfect base - there was a food and craft fair and excellent fireworks at the local junior high school, all very close by. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the stay more pleasant overall. If you’re visiting Burney, especially for July 4th or Burney Falls, this motel works well as a comfortable, convenient place to stay, even if it’s not fancy."

"Air conditioner was nice and cold. Mattress comfort needs updating and the floor should be mopped daily because we had to walk around in shoes or socks everyday. We had a nice stay, excellent proximity to Burney Falls, staff was friendly and helpful. Area doesn't have a diner or much options for dining. Thank goodness for the Safeway and Grocery Outlet. Staff is very accommodating and the room had the basic amenities you would need or want. Would I stay here again? I would but I would definitely request for the room to be mopped again."

"The hotel was adorable, loved the historic vibe and rooms were thoughtfully updated, but Some of the pull out couches were a bit worn down. The staff and actually everyone we interacted with in town at other restaurants and shops were beyond friendly. Can’t speak highly enough about them. "
