"Parking was easy, the Inn is beautifully kept to its historic look . Wish the restaurant or bar was open but they weren’t. I found the evening staff to be a little unhelpful but I loved the inn and felt fortunate to have chosen it on my travels"

"Not a great town and the pictures make the place look much nicer than it is. Homeless people hanging around a strip club behind the hotel and very noisy rooms from the street and floors above. Pictures look much nicer than it is."

"Breakfast was actually a breakfast . Very appreciated. The guys who checked us in were great . Offering tips for restaurants . Things to do . They were welcoming and seemed well suited for there job . Didn't try the pool . Koi pond and garden were beautiful . "

"This place seems very new and is an attactive option if you want to stay in a more rural location in second-growth redwoods. We lived very close to this property many years ago and so this is exactly what we were looking for. We had no complaints and would not hesitate to book this place again. We noted two small areas for imporvement. There is no washer/dryer and the nearest facilities are in McKinleyville, so you cant pack light and expect to do laundry. Also, being new, the kitchen has the very basics, but is lacking spices, cooking oils, food storage (e.g. tupperware), foil, platics wrap ot anything similar. I suspect this will change with time. Overall, very quiet, peaceful with nice views, a fire pit and a small creek. One small hint is that Lindsey Creek at the bottom of the road has coho salmon that spawn in it, if you are staying during some of the first significant rains of the year in Nov or Dec, this is a very memorable experience if you get lucky. "

"Amazing stay, incredibly peaceful, the space is so thoughtful and relaxing. The fireplace is so cozy, the sauna is heavenly, great location, private fenced backyard perfect for pups, and the cherry on top is the landscaping- it’s botanical garden level. Very private, our dog is reactive and the owners are careful to not let their dog interact with ours. The kitchen is stoked with pans and anything you could need. Shower pressure is great. We’ve stayed here twice and can’t wait for our next visit! "
