Fun time overall

Really enjoyed this property. The location was excellent right off highway 1 although it was a bit noisy from the freeway traffic in the mornings. Both my friend and myself agreed that the two queen beds downstairs were probably the most comfortable beds we have slept in. The only complaint our group had was the couple sleeping upstairs said the bath towels up there smelled like mildew. So they had to grab extra towels from the downstairs hallway as those were ok. Oh and the wifi speed was slow but we didn't use it that much. Overall a fun time and our group agreed we would definitely rent here again.

Good Family Time in a Mendocino cottage

It is a rustic modern cottage, and a few minutes from Mendocino Village. It is easy to go to Fort Bragg. It provides a comfortable setting. Good kitchen wares. There is no internet and it is peaceful. We have a good time.

The beach cottages across the street are not kid friendly. This house is. Its got a great big yard, a big fire pit, nice kitchen and a large dinning area. Some of our party stayed in the beach cottages across the street and the kids (2 and 4), with their parents plus one, stay in this house. We all gathered at this house after the days activity for a group meal, wine drinking around the fire pit for the adults and airplane flying / soccer ball kicking for the kids. There are not a lot of restaurants in Mendocino that can accommodate a party of 12 with two small kids so this was definitely a good solution for our party. All the beds are comfortable and the upstairs suite is a nice feature. The hosts were very responsive to a minor housekeeping issue. We would rent this house again.

The photos in the ad for this home are very misleading. The bathroom was super small and dark; could reach the door from the back wall of the shower. There were no washcloths, and only a couple of towels for a 4 bedroom home. The kitchen was beyond small, only one person could be in there at a time. The furniture was very uncomfortable and if our group had the financial resources, we would have left soon after our arrival and found another place to stay. We have never felt this way about any other VRBO that we have rented. Would not come back.
