The hotel did not have electricity or air conditioning. I made another reservation within the hour at the Holiday Inn because they had electricity. Expedia never refunded my money because Expedia's customer support says that Wyndam never returned their calls.

Villa Mercedes Merida, Curio Collection by Hilton
Clean room, large bathroom, well situated. I didn’t try the pool as it was very shaded and not the most inviting. Gym was small but served its purpose. Most of the hotel staff were lovely though we did encounter some people who weren’t so helpful. We would return.

Gran Hotel Panamericana Merida
Well located close to the centre. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Pool area was a nice place to relax in the afternoon. Hotel is charming and well maintained.
