When I arrived the person at the front desk looked like he was having a herpes break out on his lip they make you stand outside when you can walk in they lock the doors they give keys an change the key to lock the door every day so don’t be carrying it stuff or you’ll walking to the desk to fix "

"The house is a lovely older home built probably around 1900-1925. It has large rooms, lots of character, and plenty of space. It is evident care has been taken to update it. However, that being said, this is Memphis and not all areas of Memphis feel safe. All of the reviews I had read for this home were good, but the area just was not for me and my family. Obviously, previous guests have not had a problem, so maybe it was just us, but we chose to go to a hotel."

"This is a great property to stay at if you need to be in the Medical District. I selected it for its proximity to the hospital (8 minute walk). The neighborhood is quiet and feels reasonably safe. The unit itself is nice and has just about everything you might need for a short or extended stay. The hosts are extremely accommodating and available. I had to extend several times due to not knowing when my son would be discharged from the hospital and the hosts went out of their way to work with me to make sure I had a place to stay at a reasonable rate. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because while the inside is nice, the outside is badly in need of some care, mostly trash removal from the porch and the front lawn. My son said that was just part of Memphis charm though."
