No WiFi or o2 signal , with the exception of one member of staff everyone was just doing their job no more no less ,rats around the accommodation, outside when i saw them .

I think that overall my stay was excellent value. I wish the mattress wasn't quite so firm and that the pillows were more like my own (latex) but this is impossible to cater for. Food also excellent.

Great if you want to get away from t'internet
Lovely country location and busy pub with good range of food including game. Chain rather than individually run. Minimal or no wifi, especially in the bedrooms. Good breakfast. Bedroom in the conservatory very cold which meant the bed felt damp so avoid if possible. Plenty of hot water in the morning though.

With limited mobility we were in upstairs room with long access corridor.
bathroom mirror and wash basin were too high for 5ft 2in person and wardrobe space was inadequate

One night stay which was fairly expensive for a small room. The toilet was difficult to flush and the sink plug did not fit. Staff was good and breakfast had a wide choice made to order; dinner also had a variety of interesting choices. The entrance to the car park was very narrow and on a busy road. Hotel had charm and was historic though, its situation was excellent.

The inn and accommodation block are well planned out and very well maintained to a modern standard. The evening and breakfast menu offer a local twist to familiar dishes.
Roseberry Topping Hill just behind the pub must be conquered. The route is a challenge but the view is amazing.
Its an amazing property and the room available for families was large. Staff is warm and friendly and food great

What a great stay at the Kings Head. The room was lovely with a four poster bed, very clean and comfortable. It is dog friendly, and Lottie our Dandie Dinmont was very well looked after by the amazing staff in the bar, she was even treated to her own breakfast! Would highly recommend.

I was travelling for business therefore had planned to work in the evening. Unfortunately absolutely no wi fi signal so not possible to do any work
This was a real shame as food was lovely
Room was clean but bed (room 1) pushed up to the window / wall so only accessible from one side

Lovely property in great location. However, wifi access to internet completely unusable due to lack of bandwidth, which combined with virtually no 3G or 4G coverage in the area means you are in information black hole!

It’s in a great spot for walking locally and Roseberry topping is very close by. Room was fine, food was excellent .Plenty of places to park car. The only downside for us (which may not be a downside for others) was the Wi-Fi was poor in that I connected once and then it was slow and only on for a very short time before disconnecting). My phones network was poor here so I couldn’t use my phone for the internet either. All in all we enjoyed ourselves.

Trip was both business and pleasure. Only one night stay. Location was ideal for us which was the reason we chose this hotel. Rooms are beside restaurant and bar so we needed to run through the rain to get dinner and breakfast the next morning. Not ideal.
Breakfast was good evening meal a little pricey but good. Staff friendly and helpful.
