"Used for an overnight stop-over, Marston’s Pub menu, food was very reasonably priced and good choice for breakfast too. Room clean and comfortable. The staff were all fantastic, everybody was so friendly and helpful."

"Great cottage that didn’t get too hot during the summer heat wave as it was the ground floor of a multi story property. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. Shower was especially nice. The driveway was a lot steeper and hard to turn into the parking space than we expected. We could have used the car park next to the property but then we would have had to pay during the day. I believe overnight parking was free. There were some parking spaces at the bottom of the driveway, but they were in use during our stay. Lots of shops and cafes nearby and the train station was about a 5 minute walk from the property. Garden area was lovely and a very quiet and private place to cool off in the evening after walking near the river. I enjoyed the location of the property as there were many day trips and places to see within a short driving distance. Manchester airport was about a 35 minute drive. I would stay here again."

"Lovely holiday cottage. Perfect for just myself, my husband and our dog. Fully equipped kitchen, immaculately clean. Lovely calming decor. Beautiful walks along the canal which is on the doorstep! Fantastic communication with the owner, Andy. Would definitely recommend. Had a very relaxing few days away. A"

"From start to finish our stay was lovely. Steven greeted us on arrival and took us to our room. The house has been renovated but maintains its old world charm with beautiful light fittings, original portraits and period pieces of furniture. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was self serve cereals fruit yogurt etc and hot food was cooked to order. No problem changing items or reasonable off menu requests. A comfortable parlour was available to sit in. WiFi wasn’t great but adequate for emails and messaging. Mobile data in the whole area is hit and miss, but that’s not surprising given the terrain. All in all a great spot and we’d come back!"

"A welcome few days away… didn’t disappoint ! Great views and tucked away into country but within 10 minutes of the Oddfellows and The Devonshire, good food reasonably priced. On arrival the owners welcomed us and Kinder was not disappointing. Well thought, modern, clean and very comfortably furnished with everything needed…from a dishwasher to rainfall shower…freshly laundered bedding, towels and clean clean clean ! This was without doubt a “home from home†to return to at the end of a busy day, thank you."
