"Most things overall were OK and the house itself has nice antiques and pretty antique hardware, and nice outdoor patio Host is responsive, but wants a heavy cash deposit for the house and again for the kayaks. The view is lovely. The kayaks are heavy & difficult to use because you have to cross the busy road with them. The beach is used for a dog play area and smells quite bad. N to be or to swim. "

"Unser Appartment kann man mit "vintage" bezeichnen: die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr funktionell. Überragend ist der Service und die Hilfsbereitschaft des Gastgebers: er hat uns sogar erlaubt, Stühle mit an den Strand zu nehmen. Zum Frühstück gibt es warme Croissants, Brioches sowie viele gute Tipps und Hintergründe zu Region und Geschichte. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt !"

It‘s just a few steps away from restaurants, cafes, a supermarket and most important: the waterfront. The town is cute and was the perfect homebase for us. "Das Haus liegt in Zanca ca. 160 m über Seehöhe im Nordwesten von Elba, ziemlich abgeschieden. Bis zum Stand von St. Andrea geht man bergab ca. 15-20 Minuten, bergauf ist es besonders bei höheren Temperaturen schon recht anstrengend. Einen kleinen Lebensmittelmarkt gibt es in ca. 150 m Entfernung, einen Bäcker in ca. 500 m Entfernung (bergab). Die Hausausstattung ist unterdurchschnittlich. Es ist weder eine elektr. Kaffeemaschine noch ein Toaster vorhanden. Küchenutensilien sind einfacher Art....

"We had a nice stay as family, no disturbance from mobile phones because there is almost no cellular network there. The access to the parking lot is quite steep and might not fit for all cars, which should be considered, other parking is hard to find. We felt very welcomed with the hosts, who spoke italian and german. Thank you!"

"Checked in early, they were kind enough to hold our luggage but we couldnt get the room because it was 10am. The route to get to the hotel was tough, too many curbs and single car roads the parking was complicated and seemed sus. Upon getting to our room, our luggage was there waiting in the room, but the hotel and room seemed like a prison. The hotel was outdated and didnt feel comfortable. They were nice enough to put a crib inside the room without us asking for our baby."

Great hotel near the beach - ocean view

"Pros: Great beach; restaurant in the hotel; near the beach; great ocean view; free parking; free towels for guests to use at the beach (ask at the reception). Cons: Lots of stairs to get e to the beach; and only one restaurant option to dine in (the hotel one). But you can drive only 5 minutes to get to another town with lots of good restaurants and shopping options. Would definitely stay again here as the beach felt more private and less touristic than in other towns of the island. The restaurant service is amazing, has nice ocean view, and the food is good, but it’s a little pricy when compared to other restaurants in the island. "

"I stayed in a double bedroom for 3 nights and absolutely loved the place! Has the most amazing views all around, the rooms are very cleaned and comfortable and the pool is great! If I have the chance to come back to isola d’Elba I will definitely stay here again."
