"Molokai is pretty laid back and not highly developed from a tourist standpoint, which is what we were looking for. The condo, which in its pictures looked a bit dated, definitely was when we got there. So no surprise. But we were disappointed a bit by what we encountered. Several missing or not working light bulbs. A ceiling fan in the bedroom that was either on or off, the chain control for how fast is turned wasn't working. "We, 2 adults and 2 kids, loved to spend time in this very well-equipped apartment! It corresponds to the pictures. Especially the Lanai is wonderful, spacious and had the most comfortable chairs we had in our holidays on Hawaii (we visited a few islands). "We had a dreamy stay at Pu'u O Hoku Ranch! We really enjoyed slowing down and enjoying each other's company in a beautiful setting. "Do not get me wrong everything worked out just fine.....But We rented a unit with 2 bedrooms and a loft, (4 adults, 2 children) what We got was a 2 bedroom with a roll out bed and a blow up mattress that we had to set up in the living room (a pain to have to set up and take down every day) they Did refund some days for this inconvenience (they said that the owner was remodeling and did not get finished in time (someone else said they had this happen also)) the staff and grounds keepers where...

"Molokai Shores is a great place to stay on Molokai, and I've stayed there a handful of times. However, this unit seemed like it had been neglected. The floors were very dirty, the chair upholstery was visibly dirty, and the kitchen cupboards had German roaches. The unit is close to the parking lot and office, but isn't one with a view, which was ok. I think with a very thorough cleaning and perhaps some updating, the unit could be more inviting. However, suited my needs for a quick work trip."

Napili Kai Beach Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Absolutely perfect. We were here for two nights in October. I can't think of a more perfect place to stay in Hawaii. The resort was wonderful, a very chill and relaxed vibe, the staff was very nice. Everything is conveniently located on the resort. The food at the on-site restaurant is very good. We had originally planned to cook our own food in the room, but the restaurant was so good we ended up eating there every day. We had an oceanfront room, the view was fantastic, the room was very clean and nice (the carpet was a little dated but that was the only thing I noticed). The location is stunning, absolutely beautiful. Perfect weather. The beach is right there and in October there's not many people on it. Clean beach and clean water. The water is pretty calm overall, but be aware that it gets deep not far from the shore. A lot of people swimming, snorkeling and paddleboarding in the bay. It's easy and convenient to take an Uber from the resort to nearby attractions such as Whalers Village. "
