Great country house with lots of charm and character, located in a unique area, secluded and quiet, with a beautiful view over the ocean and mountains, a few minutes walk away from the town centre.
It boasts:
On the ground floor: living area, fireplace, large kitchen, American-style bar, 1 bedroom (2 single beds) with en-suite shower room including 1 toilet.
Upstairs: 2 double bedrooms with 2 en-suite bathrooms (including 1 with Jacuzzi bathtub) and 2 toilets, a sauna.

The villa and its pool are nestled in a wooded park where all the tree and shrub species of the Algarve grow.
In its garden, you will find rare rose bushes, agave and fruit trees.
At 460 m altitude, at a turn in a footpath the city of Monchique offers the spectacle of the sea, the freshness of crystal clear water crashing against the rocks, the orchards and terraced vegatable crops.

The house and its property Are beautiful. Beautiful view over the mountains and Ocean. We spent lots of time in the pool and went for several walks, some short, some for a half day. Exactly what we wouldve hoped for!

Super cosy and beautiful

The house is amazing, with cosy rooms and decor.The location is awesome for a chilled holidays.The kitchen is fully equipped for home cooked meals and it has a super nice outside space. We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely be booking the space again :)

Excellent property, great for romantic getaways as has completely separate bedroom for a couple while plenty of room for a family (or two) in the main house. Lovely views and very close to supermarkets and shopping 10/10

Unique Getaway

Charming and unique property minutes above Monchique. We had a lovely week here and enjoyed all aspects of this property. Eastern exposure gets the morning sun with shade splashing across the outside living areas by mid-afternoon. Walking distance to several excellent restaurants. Fabulous and highly recommended!

Lovely break and villa

Lovely villa with magnificent pool (deep) not ideal for younger children but great for swimming. Sauna added bonus and rooms tastefully decorated. Pascal and Eulalia hosted very discreetly but where there when needed. Thanks all for a wonderful visit. Restaurant at top of garden excellent, try the wild boar local delicacy.

Great stay on a central place in the Algarve

The house is beautiful with a lot of extras ( swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool). The property is big, quiet and has a lovely view. It is situated not far from the south and west coast of Portugal. Some furniture is outdated and has to be replaced. Thanks for having us.

Traditional Portuguese House

The property is lovely, with gardens to explore and a great pool. Unfortunately we were there during a few weeks of bad weather. I would have gone later in the year to get more sun and warmth. Great hiking trails nearby, but not much to do in the village — so go to relax.

A beautiful property

This home was all it was cracked up to be, and more. The home is very spacious with many areas to hang out. The pool was pristine. The kitchen was extremely well appointed. We loved the sunroom. Check in and check out were made easy. We absolutely loved this place.

Short summer stay

My wife and I arranged to stay for two night but with a early check in on the first day. So we had 2.5 glorious days in the property. We spent most of that time in or by the pool and around the bbq but loved it!! Would go back with friends and there is plenty of room

Really lovely stay

Pascal's villa is a great place to spend a week. There was space for everyone and a really nice sheltered place to spend evenings outside while the kids were in bed. One of the double bedrooms is accessed from a door outside the house so worth considering for families, but it didn't bother us - in fact we had more peace and quiet for it! The pool is amazing - huge and deep enough for diving. All in all we had a lovely time. Thank you!

Mountain biking Monchique

Lovely villa with character. Large shared living space. Rooms large - twin on ground floor 2 en suite rooms one almost a mezzanine and one accessed through a separate door outside the building. We didn’t try the sauna or pool as it was February. Kitchen has everything to cater for a large group with a big dining table.Log burner was fantastic.Great location halfway up the valley side above Monchique.

Fantastic

Lovely property, well situated just outside Montchique. Very well appointed and comfortable. Delightful and helpful hosts. The only downside is that the third bedroom is in a tiny room with two single beds. Not only claustrophobic and would be intolerable, given it has not a/c, in summer temperatures.

Wonderful stay in Monchique

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in Monchique. Pascal and Eulália were both lovely and very helpful. The villa has everything you’d want. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the pool is a real blessing after a hot day exploring. Several nice restaurants within walking distance, the town is nice to explore with some nice bars, and the town festival on our last night was great fun. It wouldn’t be suitable for those with mobility issues due to the steps, but for everyone else, it’s great! Thank you for having us!

Mountain retreat

Lovely villa in a very tranquil area of Monchique with wonderful views. Fabulous heated pool with sun loungers and shaded sitting area. Pretty garden to explore with added bonus of a sauna. The villa is very well equipped with everything you need to self cater if you wish, but there are also restaurants within walking distance. Thank you to Pascal (the owner) and Eulalia (manager) for your lovely welcome and help during our holiday. Both Phil & I highly recommend your lovely villa.

A perfect holiday

A great place to stay, lovely location in the mountains and a amazing villa with everything you needed. Great pool and house surrounded by nature. The host were very helpful and friendly. The local town Monchique was very nice with a few good restaurants our favourite was Velochique. We went when there was a festival on which was great to see all the locals out. The town also had a great Lido for the kids costing 1Euro each. Food and drink was also very cheep. The villa was a perfect place to explore the rest of the algarve. A big thank you, we miss it already

Wonderful week

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was bigger than expected with several different spaces to enjoy, depending on the time of day, and all with great views. Both Eulalia and Pascal were very welcoming and helpful. We planned to do quite alot of walking during our stay and found plenty of great walks nearby. (For those interested we would recommend viaalgarviana.org). We also like to cook and found plenty of utensils to use in the kitchen. There are also some great restaurants in walking distance, we really enjoyed Luar da Foia (reservation needed).

Lovely villa in beautiful gardens with amazing views

Stunning views, beautiful pool (heated and open in February) and well-equipped villa. Relaxing, homey feel to the villa (rather than the showhome feel you often get) and cosy with the fireplace in the living room. The sauna was a nice extra. We did the walk down to and up from the village centre quite a lot and it was fine for us averagely fit adults (aged 23-61), took 15-20mins each way. Location is fantastic - distant view to the sea from the villa, even better views from the top of the mountains (Foia and Picota). We visited Sagres and Praia da Rocha on the coast, and managed a couple of dips in the sea (not cold compared to the UK sea). We loved getting all the fresh citrus fruit from the garden.

Paradise

We stayed for 19 days in March 2025. The villa is very charming-we loved the sun room and used the log burner as it was March and a bit chilly. We used the sauna and spa bathtub a lot. We spent almost all of our indoor time in the sun room. Great sunrises! Kitchen is great-had everything we needed to cook all our meals. The grounds are so beautiful. It is like being in a botanical garden-citrus trees, flowers, herbs, olive trees, palm trees. The pool area was great. Again, being March, the weather only got warm enough to swim the end of March. Views are out of this world. The owners, Pascal & Marie live on the property and were very helpful with some electrical-storm related issues. Marie gave us some oranges that she picked from the property and some home made olive oil. They have a very friendly and quiet dog. We also liked how close the Via Algarviana trail is to the villa. We hiked Foia 3 times. There is a restaurant next to the villa and from that parking lot there is a path that leads into the centre of Monchique to explore by foot rather than driving into town. Overall, it was a fantastic stay!

A very comfortable solid little home from home. Very well equipped with an incredible swimming pool which we spent most of our time in. The undercover parking was a definite plus. I fully recommend.
