I stayed for 2 nights in Vilafoia and wished I had stayed longer. It is a perfect place to get away from it all and to just chill out. The welcome I received was outstanding-it was clear Margarita took her job very seriously and genuinely cared that guests feel at home there. She emailed directions in advance which were easy to follow and got me there with no trouble whatsoever. The hotel is situated in the Monchique mountain region. We booked a panoramic suite which gave us views all the way to Portimao and the ocean- wonderful. The hotel is very nice , clean and modern and very well equipped. The staff are doing a great job and are very friendly. This is a perfect stay for families with small children as the hotel facilities are great for all members of the family. The SPA is really relaxing and wonderfully built and equipped with numerous showers and steam rooms....

This is a modern hotel with an interesting selection of artefacts and antiques scattered around the spacious cool marble spaces. Its very clean and well maintained. Breakfast from 8am to 11am is perfect timing for me as I like to take things slowly in the morning. Lots of choice at breakfast, all the standards - fruit, cereals , eggs cooked to order. Our stay at Herdade do Touril was the relaxing escape we needed. We booked the double room apartment that was located across the road from the main building, which was a surprise, but didn't bother us since that allowed us to enjoy a private garden and a BBQ. The apartment also had a fully equipped kitchen which the hotel staff replenished with breakfast itens everyday. We also received fresh bread and pastry every morning. Overall, a very pleasant stay. It's a lovely modern hotel. Rooms are fabulous and the property has a rooftop infinity pool with plenty of loungers. The property has a really nice spa with an indoor pool that you pay to use. Food is good and reasonably priced. Staying here was so peaceful. Breakfast was very nice, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice. Tiny critism, the crepes would be better warm! The Villa was exceptional and so comfortable. Lovely pool area. Would definitely love to come back to stay again!

Very friendly staff , lovely buffet breakfast, good location

Went to Salema with partner and 3 kids, 15,9 and 8. Villas were of a particularly high standard. Spotless clean and with all the mod cons. Pool was lovely and never packed despite the size of the complex. Salema itself is very small with not much in it but it's a nice change from the surrounding large resorts. It has a fabulous fish restaurant on the beach and a pretty good pizzareia. Had a very relaxing holiday here. Would recommend it and I would go back. Super resort.

This was our 4th stay and it is still a wonderful place to go, see you next year 😊
