"We had a lovely stay at The Pelican and there really wasn’t anything to fault. So well positioned to walk into the old town its location is definitely its draw but the hotel stands up on its own too. Lovely reception area with friendly staff. The room was immaculate and styled beautifully. I didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on the food but the restaurant and menu did look amazing if on the pricey side. Pool was probably smaller than I imagined but it was never very busy and we visited in prime time August and could usually get a lounger with ease. The hotel is on the more expensive side but it did feel well worth it and the family room with mezzanine level was perfect for our needs especially having 2 areas to get ready with teen girls. I’d definitely recommend the hotel as a place to stay and would happily revisit"

"Brand new hotel with nice wellness area. Very close to the lake and the beach. About 2km walk from town. Some staff great, others less especially in the spa area. Beware of the bathing suit dress code in the spa."

"The proximity to the train/bus station and the old town, as well as the lake was super helpful! Everything was within walking distance! We did have some issues with housekeeping the first week. If we didn’t ask for it, the housekeeper wouldn’t clean our room! The second week it was much better. The reception staff were very sweet and helpful and kept apologizing for the inconveniences we suffered. Also, be prepared to carry your suitcases from the 3rd to the 4th floor, the elevator only goes up to the third floor! Overall, we had a great time in Annecy!"

"Beautiful property with incredible panoramic views of Lake Annecy. We spent a wonderful week in Veyrier-du-Lac. Very comfortable and well-equipped property with beautiful swimming pool. Fantastic communication from our host Fabienne and her family and prompt help from them when we encountered a couple of problems. The lake and village were just a short, steep walk from the house, so it was easy to enjoy all the local amenities - swim in the lake, take a boat trip, hire a pedalo, buy fresh bread, eat in a local restaurant, etc. Would definitely recommend."

"Lovely house in a charming village. We stayed with 9 people and everything we needed was available to us at the house. Communication with the owners was great, and there's multiple beaches within a 10min walking distance.The only downside is the noise from the street, but we adjusted fairly quickly. Bring a car for bigger shopping tours as the closest supermarket is a bit down the road (3min by car, 5-10min by bike), but there's a fantastic bakery just up the road that we went to daily."
