"The breakfast can be better. Eggs were tough on the sides because no one was stirring them to keep them fresh. Salmon had grey edges from spending too much time outside the refrigerator. The rooms need to have slippers and robes, the floors need to be fixed, they are not straight and it's annoying. The hair dryer is horrible, please replace it with a proper powerful hairdryer, it's unusable. Everything else is excellent. "

"This hotel looks rather old from the outside, the reception area is in a 80's style, but this impression stops there. The rooms are newly refurbished and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant is very good and the breakfast is also very satisfactory. One of the best value for money I came accross in the last few years. I will definitely come back to this hotel when in the region."

"We had a lovely couple of nights here. So quiet and relaxing, a true luxurious and romantic place. We had the lodge with the hot tub which had gorgeous views of the pond (number 17). Slight issue with horse flies when walking to and from the main area through the woods but they didn’t like insect repellent so that worked well. One slight downer was we didn’t get asked if we wanted to book tables for dinner in the evenings and one night was fully booked with what must have been non resident...

"The hotel is in a good location and includes free parking. The room size was very small for three of us two adults and one child Bathroom was not fit for purpose as it would leak the water from the shower onto the floor floor every day so was an extremely poor design. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear the next door person snoring loudly. The common area of the hotel is mediocre and had a funny smell. "The staff went out of their way to be helpful! It was a school holiday, so Taxi’s were hard to get. We walked to the hotel from the Train Station across the river. When we discovered that the hotel restaurant was booked & we would have to walk to another one, the front desk clerk actually got his car & drove us there! We very much appreciated this. This hotel is within close walking distance of 2 castles & a beautiful shopping area. The food was excellent, the hotel very comfortable & the staff were more than welcoming."
