The property was beautiful. The staff were very helpful. It is a little hard to figure out check-in because you have to ring into the hotel by a doorbell, but the grounds are very safe and well worth the stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The hotel and staff and location were lovely. The bed was very hard, but everything else exceeded our expectations.
What a lovely hotel in the heart of Montepulciano! The staff (I assume the family) were so friendly and welcoming, and the room was lovely! I only stayed for one night but I wish I stayed longer.
This centuries-old building full of history and characters with modern amenities like elevator and AC is a hidden gem and just steps away from Piazza Grande. The breakfast prepared and served by the madam owner with lovely interaction is the cherry on the cake. Rick Steves stayed here more than once tells you everything.
This property is amazing. The staff/owners were very kind & helpful.
I only wished that I spoke Italian, instead, they needed to work at translation, which they did very kindly.
The place is magical, with views one only dreams of.
Breakfast was plentiful & tasty. Parking is a little inconvenient, but that is true of the city.
Wonderful location in the heart of Montepulciano. Large, comfortable room with an amazing view. Venture up to the rooftop for an even better experience. The only concern was that the air conditioning was not operating, perhaps because the weather had just started to heat up.. It was not overly hot when we visited, but a little cool down would have been nice.
This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at! The building is beautiful, the rooms are clean, the staff is very kind, and location is absolutely perfect. Would highly recommend and would stay again!
We have never experienced a view like this from a hotel room! Just breathtaking, and memorable. The room was large and comfortable. The large lobby is from another era, an experience itself. The upper part of town is quieter and less crowded than the lower part, which we also enjoyed. Highly recommend.
This historic hotel is a wonderful location for touring Montepulciano and Tuscany. The staff was eager to help with dinner and vineyard tour reservations. Our room was off the breakfast room and we didn't hear the other guests at all.
Wonderful hotel in the heart of Montepulchiano. Hotel staff treated us like family. Arrival instructions were clear and easy to manage. Appreciated the parking, even tho it was shortly off-site. Our room was spacious and well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the balcony/view and the rooftop patio, where we enjoyed the bottle of wine we picked up at the little winery tasting room just across the ally from our hotel entrance. The 10 euro breakfast was lovely. Our only small complaint was the air conditioning was not really working. To be fair, it was unusually hot while we were there. Thankful we had personal fans which helped out. Lovely lil spot.
