We received a very warm and genuine reception and given a choice of room to select. We had a good nights sleep. The facilities were very clean and worked well. Breakfast was simple but adequate. We would stay here again as it is very convenient for Monterey and the 17 mile drive to Carmel.

This was a surprise. He won’t find another comfort Inn like this. This is more like a boutique hotel with comfort Inn’s name. It really goes along with the rest of the town. Well, if you want amenities, though there’s no amenities here there’s no hot tub. There’s no pool, but the rims were cute clean. You could tell they had been updated recently while still keeping the original doors and windows which was absolutely adorable and went along with the old European village look of the rest of the town. This is very small, but as far as the best thing for your back in Carmel, this is it.

We’re doing a two-week road trip of California and this has to be the worst place we’ve stayed in. Although the rooms are perfectly fine in terms of cleanliness and comfort, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from the rooms next to you to the outside noise. We were very unfortunate that our neighbours were extremely noisy and loved slamming their doors every time they entered or left their room which meant that I barely slept. Parking was also a bit of a nightmare as they only have about 10 parking spots for guests which meant having to park up steep side roads if there wasn’t a space left. Breakfast was also a sad display with barely anything edible on offer and the person on the front desk was miserable. Overall, I doubt I would come back here if I were to visit Carmel again, other than for the location/price which was unbeatable.
