Small (12 rooms), quaint older hotel with a great location just steps from downtown Carmel-by-the-sea and short walk to the beach. A little bit dated but adds to the charm, in my opinion. Coffee available in the office but no breakfast which seems to be the norm in many of the hotels in the area. They have free parking available. Would definitely stay there again.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable and quiet. Hotel is older so a little outdated but well maintained. Like so many hotels, the bathtub lacked grab bars which is essential for so many seniors.

Tally Ho is a wonderful boutique hotel. Charming. Large room, balcony, terrific bed, great large bathroom with a large shower. All that was wonderful, and the staff was terrific adding to the ambiance. We were for only two nights. Next time several nights.

We enjoyed the convenient location, the comfortable room, the seaviews from our room, the included onsite self-parking, and the pleasant staff. We experienced some difficulty using the tv remote, but a staff person was able to re-sync it with the television, and then it worked fine. The bed was very comfortable, but the bed pillows less so. The bath towels were rough, and the inn provides poor quality one-ply toilet paper. If driving yourself to the inn, please remember to bring your own bath towels and bed pillows and toilet paper. I think you will have a great stay in Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Upscale Boutique Hotel Location

We made an excellent choice of selecting this boutique hotel. Location was great! Very upscale area with lots of nice restaurants around. Very clean,Great view of the ocean ( they upgraded us!) Thoroughly enjoy the stay! Thanks

Such a great, quaint place to stay. Great location, very comfortable. Lobby hours need to be a little longer..specifically open earlier in the morning for coffee.
