"This refurbished cottage is a hidden gem, surrounded by fruit trees on a hillside facing Siena. You’ll need a car — it s about a 5-minute drive on a steep, narrow, winding road to get to the stores by the freeway. The cottage was bigger than we were expecting, with a small but well-equipped kitchen. The host turned on the AC in anticipation of our arrival. There are two bedrooms on the main floor with AC, and a fourth bed in a loft."

We sent several messages the day of check-in and didn’t hear from the host until well after the check-in time (4pm). "The staff was very attentive and helpful specially Alfredo. He is terrific! My only complaint was a persistent low level hum that was noticeable at night, I figured that our room was above the kitchen area and that it was the industrial size refrigerator below. The view of the town up the hill from our room was spectacular. Decent breakfast. The pool was wonderful."

"This resort was simply beautiful! We stayed in the grand room as there were 5 of us, and it was much bigger than I expected! Three bedrooms, 3 washrooms, huge living room - it was great! As we had 2 kids, we had to use the family pool, which was conveniently close to our room. No bar at the pool, but there was a QR code to order drinks and food. There were towels at the pool as well. The staff were very kind and helpful. We appreciated the welcome gift of wine, juice, and snacks too! The breakfast buffet was lovely with lots of variety of hot and cold items. Would highly recommend this resort."

"What an amazing hotel. The attention to detail on the refurb of the property is phenomenal. Once the tennis court, spa etc are completed this will easily be high hundreds per night. We visited all the other properties in the surrounding area and nothing came close to this hotel. The food and drinks were also brilliant - best meal we had in Tuscany was in the hotel. My only suggestions would be to rotate the staff more - they seemed slightly over worked. Easily one of the best hotels I have stayed in."
